The Porsche Truck Experience.
All of you.Porsche Driving SchoolThe first is the "M" in the "M" column.
It is a driving school in which Porsche owners who have had a regular driver's license in Japan for at least one year can participate in their own beloved Porsche. Officially, the school is called "Porsche Sports Driving School. When I looked at the site after a long time, it had changed its name to "Porsche Truck Experience".
What does the Porsche Truck Experience do?
The Porsche Truck Experience has five levels of programming, from the basic "Warm Up (Plus)" to the more advanced "Fast Truck," and is held twice a year, usually in the spring (June) and fall (October). In fact, my husband has attended every one since 2016, and every time we goI learned a lot.He said.
I was a little curious, so I looked at the website, but there was too little information and I didn't really understand what they do.... So I asked my husband, "What exactly does the Porsche Driving School do?When I asked, "What do you want to do?" my husband gave me an unexpected response.
Uh, I have a go-pro set up in my car every time I go out and take a video of it all, so why don't you take a look?
...What? I mean, for what (-_-)!
Who the hell are you? So today, I would like to share with you a video of my husband's participation in the Warm Up program, the most basic course of the program.
Warm Up" Program
Warm Up" program is a half-day course(Held in the morning when my husband was there)The following is a list of the most common problems with the "C" in the "C" column. The objective is to learn the basics of "driving, turning, and stopping," such as braking, steering, and gas pedal control. The first is the driving position. After learning the basics such as driving position, steering wheel grip, and seatbelt fastening, the participants will practice the following four types of exercises.
(1) Braking (ABS brake): Braking Lesson
(2) Emergency braking lesson
Slalom: Slalom and handling lesson
Wet steady circular training: Steady circular training
So let's start with the video.
Purpose and meaning of each practice
How was it? My husband's Boxster is a manual transmission, so he says, "I don't know how you do this in MT.I told him, "I'll only put it in second gear, so it'll be fine.
Let's look at each one briefly.
(1) Braking (ABS brake)In the "Porsche Brake Performance" section, you will be able to experience the performance of Porsche's brakes.
(2) Emergency avoidanceNow, while learning to avoid by first stepping on the brake as hard as possible and then turning the wheel, you will experience that you can steer while braking and not skid at all, and you will be able to avoid the skid.
(3) SlalomThen, the students will practice how to turn a curve by knowing when to turn the steering wheel and how to turn with the accelerator instead of the brake.
(4) Wet stationary circle turnThen, while experiencing what it is like to have a car skid, you will feel that the PSM (Porsche Stability Management System) stabilizes the car's behavior without further skidding.
That seems to be what they mean.
The Porsche Stability Management System (PSM) is a system that stabilizes the vehicle's behavior and further enhances safety when the vehicle is in a dangerous situation.
My husband asked, "What did you like about attending?" I asked him.
'It usually makes me a better driver, and my driving is much smoother, both on a daily basis and when driving on mountain roads. I learn more in this Warm Up than in the advanced class."
He said.
Dates for this year's spring meeting are already available.
Incidentally, this year's Porsche Track Experience will be held at Fuji Speedway in June. Applications for the spring event will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, but the start date for applications is currently being worked out.(*Will be announced on the website as soon as it is determined)
More details can be found here.
There used to be a notation that there were special souvenirs for female participants, but it's gone now... I hope you guys can join us... or maybe I should join you too.(I'm a little freaked out.)
