1. Taking Delivery of the Tesla Model 3 [05:03]

• Ordered on March 3 and delivered on May 16. The China-built Model 3 arrived quickly!
• Tesla deliveries take place at a service center rather than a dealership. It feels more like a delivery than the traditional car-buying experience.
• Many of the staff are Tesla enthusiasts and are happy to show you the details.
• Ultra Red is a rich, beautiful color. The white interior is bright and inviting, and doesn’t seem prone to getting dirty.
• Pulling away is smooth, with a distinctive, almost fluid feel. The cabin is remarkably quiet, too.
• The turn-signal controls take some getting used to, but they’re easy to manage once you’re familiar with them.
• The Long Range model offers Comfort and Standard driving modes.
• Standard mode feels even more powerful than Porsche’s Sport Plus mode.
• Acceleration is ferocious, delivering more speed than you might expect from behind the wheel—and the car feels exceptionally stable.
• Cornering is impressive, too: the Model 3 can give a Porsche a run for its money, gripping the road with tenacity.
• The cabin is quiet and the speakers sound great, making for a comfortable drive.
• Even people who aren’t particularly interested in cars may discover what makes a Tesla special once they get behind the wheel.

2. Test-Driving the New Porsche Panamera [46:10]

• We took the new Panamera for a drive. It’s a thoughtful evolution, with an even more comfortable ride.
• Air suspension is standard, smoothing out small bumps and significantly improving cabin quietness.
• The engine is quiet, and the transition back from the start-stop system is smooth.
• The rear taillights are thicker, giving the car a more commanding presence.
• It looks even more stylish in person than it does in photos.
• More power brings smooth, strong acceleration.
• The PDK feels more direct and responsive, although some low-speed hesitation remains.
• Sport and Sport Plus modes let the Panamera show what it can really do!
• Normal mode feels a little caught between comfort and performance.
• Choose the trim that best suits your preferences and how you plan to use the car.

3. Repairing a Porsche Taycan Wheel [58:12]

• We scraped a Taycan wheel, leaving damage across a fairly large area.
• We had it repaired at a shop called Chō Bankin. The phone service was rather brusque, but the workmanship was excellent.
• The repair cost a reasonable ¥36,000. The finish was so good that it’s hard to tell where the damage was.
• Taycan tires wear out quickly.
