Considering buying a MT car. What will be my second car in my life...!

What I thought when I drove a MT Porsche.
A couple of weeks ago, my husband sent me a
We have sports cars like the 911 and Boxster at home, but we haven't been driving them at all lately. I don't drive them at all these days. Why don't you take a ride today?I say, "I don't know. No, yeah. You say, "I don't get on at all. Why is that?
They said.
For that matter.I recently wrote an article about it.But since the birth of my third child, I have not been able to "get it right" as I used to.I want to drive a sports car on a winding road.I could not feel the same way about the project.
I think it was partly due to Corona, and partly due to the fact that when children are still small, their thought process becomes more "defensive" than "offensive".
However, in response to what my husband told me, "I've got more time to raise my kids than before, and I should be able to drive a sports car when I can.I thought, "I'm going to have to say goodbye to my 911 GT3," so I drove the MT 911 GT3 before I said goodbye, and on a sunny day I drove the MT Boxster GTS, and although the ride lasted about 15 minutes each time, it was quite a lot of fun.
Moreover, the MT was even more enjoyable because of the pleasure of being able to control the car by oneself.(putting aside how good a driver I am)
And gradually I came to think this way.
I think I'll buy my own MT car again...
Shall I buy a MT car again...
About 2 years ago.Purchased my first car in life, a BMW 320i (MT)I did. I got my AT license about 6 years ago now, but even after 3 years I was not able to drive my MT Boxster GTS at home.
Then, "This is something I'm going to have to buy myself a car, drive it every day, and practice, or I'll never learn to drive it!I thought, "I'm ready for this," and I was ready to make the purchase.
Since my budget was very limited if I had to buy the car by myself, I consulted my husband and after much searching, I bought a used, stock 320i for about 2.4 million yen. Immediately after taking delivery of the car, it kept stalling, but as I drove it every day, I became able to drive it on any road in its own way.
Then, last summer, I decided that I would not be able to drive a car for a while before I had a baby, and that I would have more opportunities to drive other cars after the baby was born. For the first time in my life, I had to let go of my beloved 320i.
Since then, "I enjoyed the MT car, but the AT car is easier and more comfortable.I had been feeling "I'm not a fan of MT cars" more and more, and I had almost lost the desire to drive a MT car, but recently, after driving a MT car in a row, I have been feeling that I am not a fan of MT cars.
I've relapsed....
And to my husband.
I recently tried driving a manual transmission car, and it's still a lot of fun.I'm thinking of buying myself another MT car.I'm still on a budget, so I can't afford a Porsche yet. I'm on a budget, so I can't afford a Porsche yet, but I'm wondering if there are any reasonably priced models that are somewhat sporty.
I asked him for advice.
Well, maybe a Volkswagen Golf, or a BMW M-Sport...or take this opportunity to look at some domestic cars. Let's look for something different.
He said.
And the couple is in the middle of considering candidate cars right now, checking CarSensor daily and going to dealers on weekends for test drives.
My own sense is that "I'm sure I'll buy it in this vein.I hope to blog about the car when it is delivered again.

I am looking forward to choosing a new MT car.
I have owned a 5.9L, 3.8L, and 1.2L NA engines all with MT. If you limit the situations to ordinary roads and focus only on MT operation, the 1.2L engine is actually the most enjoyable. I like the fact that the less powerful engine allows me to accelerate more and if I skip a gear shift, the car will not run.
The MT cars I am personally interested in are Swift Sport and Renault Twingo (RR like 911).
I don't think I'll be right in predicting the car model, but I look forward to the sequel to the MT search.
Mr. Ishi.
>I have a 5.9L, 3.8L and 1.2L all NA engines with MT.
Oooh great lineup...! I am so jealous.
Like you said, a 1.2L engine sounds like fun!
It sounds really fun, like you can stick on the gas pedal, or you have to steer it properly yourself.
>Personally interested in MT cars are Swift Sport and Renault Twingo (RR like 911).
My husband said it's a nice car and one I'd be interested in too!
I would like to decide on my next car after a wide range of considerations ^^^.
Hello! I always enjoy looking at your site.
This article, I couldn't help but think, 'You're with me! and W
I also got my limited license a few years ago, but I was quite put off by the S660 (MT) that my husband owned at the time, so I didn't have many opportunities to drive it.
I realized that this would not improve my MT forever, so I ended up buying myself a roadster last year lol.
Even so, I still drive sports cars only 2.3 times a month because it takes a lot of energy to drive them. I really want to drive more, but my body is not used to it yet (^^;;
But the roadster is really an easy car to drive (in sports car terms), so I would recommend it to Mina for her choice of car lol.
Choosing a car, it's fun...

Thank you for visiting my blog!
Oh I'm in the very same situation as you FAY (LOL)!
Indeed, sports cars require a lot of energy to drive ^^;
I know it's fun to ride, but it doesn't feel like a casual ride, especially if it's a manual transmission...
Roadster, if you don't need to take the kids for a ride.
I think it was definitely my first choice>.< That's a very nice car! I will consider and worry about it for a while ^^; Keep us posted!
Hi Mina.
The most fun is when you are choosing.
MT is becoming so scarce that it's considered an endangered species.
It is a pleasure to have more MT friends.
I also buy AT for my family, but all my cars are MT.
And my current two cars are MT.
I would recommend the Roadster, GR Yaris, and WRX-Sti as domestic products.
I would prefer a 1.5L or newer 2L (I would not recommend the earlier 2L) for the roadster.
I think 1.5 makes it easier to buy more balls.
Just wondering if there is another open 2-seater: ・・・・
I would also recommend the GR Yaris, but this will take a bit longer to deliver.
The WRX-Sti was one I had but would have kept if I could afford it.
The feel of the getrag is also similar to the current Porsche MT, so I think it can be driven without any discomfort.
In case you missed the previous article about the 964's tires not slipping, the rubber in the tires is considerably more slippery than it was 30 years ago.
I think the main thing is that it is getting better.
If they are not good enough, today's eco-friendly tires may have better performance than the high-grip tires of that time.

Thank you for everything.
I started looking for a MT car, and I am reminded that there really aren't many MT cars out there.
The number of MT cars that can be bought as new cars is decreasing, too.
>I would recommend the Roadster, GR Yaris, and WRX-Sti as domestic products.
Thank you! There are so many great and fun domestic sports cars to choose from.
I'm really worried...
Regarding the 964 tires, I see what you mean!
I asked my husband and he said that the tires seem to be from 2000 or so, which would mean that the performance is still better than it was 30 years ago.
Cars are very deep because there are so many factors that change the way they drive...!
Good evening, I always enjoy reading your blog.
It's sad to say, though, that fewer and fewer cars have MT as a choice with each passing vehicle.
Glad to see more fellow MT's among them!
Among the MTs I have ridden, the PEUGEOT 406 with its supple suspension, which was said to have cat legs, and the PEUGEOT 405 with its flexible suspension, which was said to have cat legs, were the most popular.
I now wish I had kept the MT of MINIJCW (R56), which was fun even if it was jagged.
As you all have mentioned.
Lightweight sports like Roadster and SWIFT Sport
Shifting gears while turning the engine is fun and gives you a better feel of driving a manual transmission!
Personally, I think that a MINI with a manual transmission would be fun.
Hope you find a nice car that you like, Mina!
Looking forward to your blog posts!
Turbo. Mr.
Thank you!
I am always glad to see your blog.
MT cars are really getting pasted in numbers...!
If I ride, I don't need that much displacement and
I think I'd like a sport MT that I can ride casually on a daily basis.
I would like to broaden my search from the candidate cars so far ^^^.
I'll be sure to blog about it again!
Thank you for your continued support.
(I also checked your message on my blog, thank you for taking the trouble!)
Good evening, I am a Mazda Roadster (ND model) driver on the Venus Line (I also use it for my daily commute).
How about a roadster?
My Roadster is a 1.5L MT, and the clutch is easy to engage, and the shifting feel is pleasantly responsive, making the shifting operation alone enjoyable.
A fast car like a Porsche is nice, but a fun car like a roadster is hard to get bored with. It is not fast, but you can feel the goodness of the car slowly. It has been less than two years since I took delivery of the car, but whenever I drive it, I always say to myself, "This is a great car..." lol.
There is a reason why we have been in business for 30 years. We hope you will take it for a test drive. It is a world-class masterpiece!
The design is not flashy, but it is beautiful.
The first roadster with its cute little litra is also an option.
Or if you are aiming for a Porsche, a 986 Boxster, a 996 911, etc., "Let's just get into the Porsche world!" might be a good idea.
168.
It's great to be able to drive the Venus Line in a roadster...
I am very envious of Kansai because there are many narrow streets.
Roadster, I test drove one once myself.
I thought it was a really nice car.
It was well built, and the MT operation was easy to do. I remember talking to my wife, "The roadster is more of a joy to drive through! I remember my wife and I were saying to each other, "The roadster is more fun to drive!
But in my case, I often travel with three children in the car.
It's inevitably going to be more than a four-seater.
If I didn't have to, I would have chosen the roadster.
> Or if you are aiming for a Porsche, a 986 Boxster, a 996 911, etc., "Let's just get into the Porsche world! I think that would be a good idea.
It's true (laughs)!
Although I am aiming for a Porsche, I have lost track of what kind of Porsche I want, and recently I have been lost (laughs).
I hope to be able to purchase one in the future after careful consideration.
I always enjoy reading your blog.
I currently drive a Boxster, but I ordered a 911 Cabriolet in March. The delivery date is around the end of the year, but I can't wait to get it now.
I have had BMWs, Cayennes, Boxsters, and now a Mercedes Benz GT4 and Boxster. I think they are all great cars.
I felt very much in sympathy with the content of the conversation between Mr. and Mrs. Mina, and I thought, "With this trend, I'm sure they will buy it.
I understand.
I seem to be more senior to you in life, but I look forward to reading your blog as a senior Porsche owner.
Oops, I forgot. I am a resident of Oita Prefecture, so I drive the Yamanami Highway on a daily basis.
spread
Thank you for visiting my blog!
>I ordered a 911 Cabriolet in March. The delivery date is around the end of the year, but I'm waiting for it now and can't wait.
Oh yes!!! Congratulations!!!
I can't wait for that, I can't wait for that, I'm going to be anxious about it every day already ^^;
And the lineup of cars is insanely nice...
>I am a resident of Oita Prefecture, so I drive the Yamanami Highway as part of my daily routine.
Oh, how...! How I envy you...!
I really envy you for being able to enjoy Porsche driving anytime you want...
We hope to continue to write about our own Porsche life!
Thank you for your continued support.
Hello Mina and sir.
If you think about it normally, it would be a roadster or a SWIFT Sport, but in a good way it's an unusual house, so it's difficult to predict (laughs).
I thought the 595 wasn't too bad considering we usually have 4 people in the car, but I still think 4 doors would be better - I'd rather have 4 doors!
Considering that I enjoy driving, can drive casually, consider domestic cars, etc., I thought it would be the GR Yaris.
is used, but there was a time when I sold my MT for about 2 years on a Golf 7 gti and R, so
I'll be golfing in the big hole!
I'm entertained by your predictions even though I didn't say I'd buy it, lol.
I look forward to the announcement of the results~♪
nave acid
>It's hard to predict because the house is unusual in a good way lol.
Thank you! That's a very nice compliment (laughs).
There are only a few MT cars, but I've been looking at a variety of imported and domestic cars to see if I can find a candidate.
Every day I realize how exciting it is to choose a car when I find out that there are so many different kinds of cars.
I will report back on my blog to let you know what the car will be.
Thank you for your continued support!
MINA.
Hello!
I'm an import car salesman who happened to meet hiro in his 991.2 GT3 on New Year's Day 2020 when we went to Ashiari for golf!
It's been a while!
I predict the car you are buying, a Swift Sport!
I can kind of understand why the dealer's sales people don't make sales pitches to mina-san and the others (laughs).
Since he comes to the dealership in a Cayenne, he knows a lot about cars = he may know more about cars than you do, so he probably doesn't say too much.
As you know, there are various types of salespeople at dealerships: those who sell by atmosphere, those who sell by product knowledge, and those who sell by price. Since it is often difficult to conclude a contract for an expensive vehicle without gaining the trust of the customer, they gather a variety of information to promote the purchase of the vehicle, but the sales staff at dealers are not always as knowledgeable as they could be.
Domestic car sales companies that sell many models around 2-3 million yen seem to be thin in this area.
I personally believe that the reason for this is that there is a lot of information available on the Internet, so more people are going to dealers after careful research.
However, each customer is different, and we need to sell in various ways to them.
It's true that many dealership salespeople are retired (laughs).
There are many internal circumstances of that company or store. 、、、、
I will explain that when I have a chance to talk to you directly (laughs).
See you in Ashiari!
bnr32568.
Thank you very much.
Such a coincidence...! I'm glad you met my husband!
I see...!
As expected from someone who knows the industry so well, the insights are convincing and informative.
Sure, there are a lot of factors, like the price range of the car, the store's structure and background...
I would love to hear all about it directly from you (laughs).
Also, thank you for the MT car forecast.
I will report on the blog when the car is delivered.
Hi, I'm a Boxster rider who always enjoys reading your blog.
I know it's not exactly what I had in mind, but how about an RX-7? LOL!
It has a back seat and can accommodate 4 people lol.
To be honest, I am only half joking, but I suddenly thought that it would be interesting to have a good old-fashioned MT car, the best in Japan, even though it is old and inconvenient with no ball bearings.
3minsoda
Thank you for visiting my blog!
>I know it's not exactly what I wanted to say, but how about an RX-7? LOL!

RX-7, I saw it right off the bat!
That's one hell of a sports car! And it's quite pricey!
I wonder if someone will let me test drive it... (LOL) I'd love to take one for a spin!
