Ambitious project by Porsche and Ananda Development

Ananda Development, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, in partnership with Porsche Lifestyle Group, announced plans to build the first Porsche Design Tower Bangkok in Asia.

The project, located on Sukhumvit Soi 38 in Bangkok, will be the most expensive condominium in Thailand, with a staggering price tag of 1 million baht per square meter (about 4 million yen).

Porsche Design Tower has already been developed in Miami and Stuttgart, and the Bangkok project is the first in Asia and the third in the world. It is said to be the first of its kind in the world. This ultra-luxury branded residence seems to aim to provide a living space that embodies the world view of the Porsche brand.

Limited to 22 ultra-luxury units

According to Chanond Ruangkritiya, president and CEO of Ananda Development, the project will offer 22 limited-edition units. Interestingly, prospective buyers will not merely be able to afford the high price of the property,Porsche and Ananda will jointly select the buyer. This is the point. This follows the method used in the Porsche brand's branded residence project.

Regarding eligibility, Luangkritiya said that the buyer does not have to be a Porsche car owner. Since the Porsche Group owns several brands, including Lamborghini and Bentley, owners of these brands may also be eligible, he said.

Luxurious facilities and spacious units

The units at Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will consist of duplex and quadplex type units. The dwelling units range in size from 525 to 1,135 square meters, which is very large compared to typical condominiums.Price range set at 525 million baht (about 2.1 billion yen) to 1.4 billion baht (about 5.6 billion yen)The condo is the most expensive condominium in Thailand.

Construction will begin next year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028, with a total sales value of THB 15 billion (approximately 60 billion yen).

Impact on Bangkok's real estate market

Prasat Taedulayasatit, Chief Operating Officer of Ananda Development, says that the branded residences are a good fit for prime locations as Bangkok emerges as a global destination. This project will set a new standard in Bangkok's real estate market and will likely meet the demand for housing for the ultra-wealthy.

In addition, it could have the effect of filtering out gray market businesses through the buyer selection process, noted Taedulayasatit. This could be an important factor in the health of the real estate market.

The arrival of Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is likely to be a new development in the Thai real estate market and an important step in establishing Bangkok as a global ultra-luxury real estate market.

The progress of this unique project, which combines the appeal of the Porsche brand with the real estate development expertise of Ananda Development, will be closely watched. We hope to see a Porsche Design Tower Tokyo in Japan in the near future. (I can't afford it, though.)
