About the problems that women who drive large vehicles feel about city driving.

Image of a woman driving a large car
Before the Panamera came to my house, I used to see women driving large cars and think, "I'm not going to be able to drive that.Dashing around in such a big car wearing sunglassesI thought to myself, "He must be very rich. But he seems to be on a roll," I thought.(I'm really sorry, it's just a self-serving image.)
And at times, when I see a woman driving a large vehicle faltering, I think to myself, "What the heck?"If that's the case, why not just drive a smaller car?Sometimes I thought, "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.
However, after I started driving a Panamera, I no longer think that way when I see a woman driving a large car. This is because I have learned that driving a large car requires care, familiarity, and a certain level of driving skill.
And these days, it's more like "I wish that women who drive compact cars would know that driving a large car is surprisingly carefree.I have been thinking about this more and more, so I would like to write about it today.
What I think about riding in a large car
(1) About visibility
needn't be saidThe hood of the Panamera is long.A longer hood means that theWhen moving forward from a blind spot on the right side, the right side of the road cannot be checked without driving considerably ahead of the car. This would be the case.
Using the indoor parking lot of a local supermarket as an example, the dividing wall in the parking lot here(3 units partitioned off at a time)If you park on the left side of this dividing wall, there are a number ofIt is impossible to check if a car is coming from the right unless you drive quite far ahead. An SUV like the Cayenne might have a higher ride height and better visibility, but in the case of the Panamera, it is still difficult to see.
Of course, I slowly move forward, but there are many shoppers in the evening, and quite often a car is coming from the right side of the street. And, quite often, a woman in a compact car would stare at me and stare at me.(There was a car the other day that drove off, staring at us the whole time it passed by.)
What! This big Porsche. There's a car coming this way, but you're so far out in front of me, you're not even looking ahead! This is why I hate women who drive luxury cars!
They stare at me with a face that says(You're totally paranoid, aren't you?)
I said, "No, I don't mean that. The Panamera has a long hood, so you can't see the right side of the car unless you move forward like this.I'm not like your car with a short hood! This is not like your car with a short hood! I want to shout and explain, but of course I can't do that...so...every time I encounter such an incident, I feel a little anxious (-_-)
(2) About the width of the car
The Panamera is a large car and it took me a while to get used to its size. Even now, I try not to drive on narrow roads too often.
However, there are situations where this cannot be said.
Neighborhood.Intersections that do not have staggered traffic signalsThis is a story in the following section. When there is a car making a right turn there, it is often difficult for the following car that wants to go straight to proceed. But some cars just stop a little to the right and wait for the right turn. When I'm in my BMW, I slip right by it.But with the Panamera, it is a little scary, so I wait until the car ahead of me turns right.
But even when theHooray! Come on, come on, come on!A compact car was coming up behind me and closing the distance between us, as if to say, "I'm going to pass you. From behind, it may look as if the Panamera could easily pass by, but this is not the case.
I don't want to rush into a situation like this and rub or scrape my wheels on the curb next to me, and I'd rather wait than take that risk."
But when I look in the rearview mirror, I can see that they are clearly annoyed with me, and I feel annoyed every time I look in the mirror.
(3) About the parking lot
In the Panamera, when parking in the parking lot of a supermarket or shopping facility, not near the entrance to the store.Away from the entrance, in an open area.I park in the "I'll park in the parking lot. This way, there are fewer cars in the parking lot, and you do not have to wait for the car following you while you park.
And yet, every once in a while, there is a car that follows behind me all the way. "Are we going to the exit?I thought, "I'm not so sure," but it's obvious he's looking for a parking space.
No, no, no, no, you're a compact car, you don't have to come this way, you can park anywhere! There was a lot of space just now!"
But I would put on my hazard and ask the car following me to wait for me to park. And only at such times, I could not park properly and had to turn around several times, feeling sorry for myself....
Well, I guess that person has a place to park, and it is not a matter of saying so.
Drive safely at your own pace.
When I tell my husband these things.
Mina-chan, you are too confused by the cars around you. Just drive at your own pace and drive what you think is safe.
It is true, but as I am a person who cares about the people around me, I feel pressure on my own. It is true, but as a person who is always concerned about my surroundings, I feel pressure on my own accord, and my spirit is disturbed on my own accord... (-_-) I feel that I need to cultivate my spirit as well as improve my driving skills these days.
Nevertheless, once you get used to the size and weight of the Panamera, you may feel somewhat inadequate when you get into a compact-bodied car. Each time that happens, the "I guess I quite like the sense of massiveness and the feeling of moving a huge body.I realize that the "W. The Panamera is a really good car, and I guess I'm completely fascinated by the Panamera when I realize that the Panamera is a really good car. w

Mina.
It's been a while since I last visited you.
I feel for you. My yome and I have almost the same comments (or rather, goofs).
It made me pop a little. I don't take pleasure in people's misfortunes, though.
Smiling feelings, I guess.
However, my wife does not drive a car as big as the Panamera.
The root of the problem is different from Mina's, though.
In case you're wondering, I drive a Panamera and I drive my wife's car.
Nothing has changed in my mental state or the content of my driving.
Recently, the mileage has exceeded 8,000 km, and the engine is a little
I feel as if my surroundings have been raised a notch.
It's more lightweight, or rather, it's not "swoosh" but "swoosh".
It's like you're starting to feel like you're reaching your target speed at all ranges in no time.
I have a feeling that it will change further as the mileage increases. I wonder if the feeling will change further as the mileage increases.
I am looking forward to it.
I still haven't mastered NAVI (can't specify any point on the map).
I am enjoying my Panamera life so far.
I look forward to your articles again.
How to support your life, Mr.
Thank you for everything!
I am saying the same thing as your wife... (laughter)
I'm glad to know I'm not alone in my thoughts (LOL)!!!
>In case you are wondering, I was driving my Panamera and my wife's car.
>My mental state and the content of my driving has not changed in any way.
I can't wait to get to that level...!
>Recently, the mileage has exceeded 8,000 km, and the engine has been running a little slow.
>I feel like I've improved my surroundings by one rank.
Oh, you've already driven 8,000 km!
My husband also said something like "the engine runs better" after 10,000 km, I believe.
The more you drive it, the more powerful it becomes, and the more comfortable it becomes with the driver.
I wanted to ride more and more, and I realized once again that my mileage was going to be a lot (laughs).
>I still haven't mastered NAVI (can't specify any point on the map).
Recently, I realized that I don't operate the Panamera's NAVI or touch screen itself much because I connect it to my IPhone.
Sometimes it's a little stressful...
Thank you for your continued support!
