Our family's car of choice is the new Porsche 911 (992 model)!

The next candidate car after the Panamera
Since last fall, the "How to replace a Panamera that is almost 3 years old since delivery.I have been wondering about "what to do" and "what not to do". (For more information about the candidate cars, please refer to the followingI wrote about it earlier in this article.)
With the birth of our third child this summer, we will be a family of five. Normally, I would think thatCayenne is the only choice for Porsche. It was not so easy... but after about six months of work, the next car for the Panamera has finally been decided.
Therefore, "Why did you have so much trouble choosing the next candidate car?and "What model was eventually decided upon?(Grades, etc., in a later article)I hope to write about this issue.
If you say, "I don't know anything about other people's car choices," that's the end of the story... (laugh) We hope that only those who are interested will continue reading.
My Family's Car Life
In deciding on the next car to follow the Panamera, I felt that "theMy family's car life has changed dramatically from when we ordered the Panamera three years ago to now. That is to say. To put it bluntly.
1) I can now drive a MT car.
(2) The lineup of my family's cars has increased.
(3) When I go on long-distance trips, I now take two cars.
(4) A car that can turn in a small radius is needed.
(5) I got hooked on Porsche.
I guess.
1) I can now drive a MT car.
Three years ago, the car that was in our home was calledPorsche 981 Boxster GTS (MT)"Porsche 970 Panamera Edition"Volkswagen Golf7In the "Mere Old Man", the Boxster was my husband's car for touring and dry life, the Golf was his commuter car, and the Panamera was my everyday car.
And at the time, I couldn't drive a manual car at all.I can't drive a manual transmission car for the rest of my life.I had given up," he said, "and for me, the Panamera was my whole car life.
The whole family can ride in luxury, but also drive sporty.Compared to models of the same size from other manufacturers, the Panamera was still an outstanding sports car.So, I remember that the decision to switch from a 970 Panamera to a 971 Panamera was relatively easy.(I even had a hard time deciding which grade of Panamera to get)
However, life is funny, and now things have completely changed.
I also managed to learn to drive a manual car, which is a good thing.I can now drive a Boxster or GT3, which I could not drive before.Of course, the Panamera is still a great sports car, but it's still "a great car.911GT3 and Boxster are more enjoyable to drive as sports cars should be.I came to realize that "the
I now ride the Boxster more often while my oldest daughter is at kindergarten or while my husband takes the kids to the park, and I go out with the Boxster quite a bit more often than I did last year.
(2) Increased car lineup
Three years ago, we had a 981 Boxster GTS (MT), a 970 Panamera Edition, and a Volkswagen Golf 7.
1Porsche Boxster GTS MT (981)
2Porsche Panamera Turbo (971)
3Porsche 911 (964C2)
4Porsche 911 GT3 Touring MT (991.2)
5Note e-POWER NISMO S: For my husband's commute
6BMW 320i MT (F30)
Only two people have licenses, but the number of cars is increasing....
It's normal to think of it as "A family of four does not need this many cars.My husband is the type of person who does a lot of research and is completely satisfied with every car he buys.
Boxster, GT3, and air-cooled cars are all really great cars. Each of them has its own charm and good qualities, and I am sure that if you let go of it, you will regret it very much later on.
I really can't let go of any of them, so I'll just have to add more cars.Well....
He often mumbles.
Then, "I'll work hard to keep these cars up and running! He is not at all interested in other things, such as food, clothing, and shelter, and he is putting all of his energy into his car.(Lately, he's been showing no interest in watches, saying, "An Apple Watch is good enough for me.")
On the other hand, I often drive my beloved 320i, which I originally bought for myself so that I could learn to drive a manual transmission car, but I still drive it often because it is just the right size, very easy to use, and in addition, MT cars are fun.
(3) When I go on long-distance trips, I now take two cars.
I used to take my family on trips and long drives in the Panamera. I used to take the Panamera on family trips and long distance drives because it was the perfect car for a family of four: comfortable, sporty, and fun.
But at one point, my husband said, "Driving a Boxster at Fuji SpeedwayWe were also going to go with him, and since it was inevitable that we could not go with only one Boxster, we were going with two cars for the first time.
."I wonder if I would be able to drive 1000 km round trip by myself.I was a little apprehensive at first, but once I tried it, it was nothing to write home about, and in fact, I enjoyed it so much that I started going with two cars after that, such as a Boxster and a Panamera, a 964 and a Panamera, a GT3 and a 320i, and so on.
The other day, I was so excited.Went out with Boxster and GT3.but "theThis idea of our family that 2 people + 2 people = 4 people is just really crazy...I think to myself, "I'm not sure I can do this.(Thanks for the luxury)
In other words, in buying a new car, we are also looking for "a new way to get around."Even if you can't fit a family of five comfortably, a NISMO notebook or, at worst, two cars will do.The conclusion was that "the
(4) A car that can turn in a small radius is needed.
Our family is expecting our third child this summer. When children are young, there are considerably more opportunities to go to the hospital.One-month checkups, vaccinations...etc., probably a monthly visit to the hospital.
In addition, both my oldest and youngest daughters have been going to preventive dentistry on a regular basis recently, and they have been seeing a dermatologist quite often. In addition, last year, my second daughter caught a cold at daycare, which then spread to my eldest daughter, and the negative spiral continued, with me taking them both to the hospital every week.
."Why do you need a smaller car for more hospital visits? The reason is that the parking lots of hospitals in town are all very small. They are really narrow. Even now, I would never be able to go there with my Panamera, and I think it would be even more difficult with a Cayenne.
With this in mind, our family now needs a car that can turn on a dime.
(5) I got hooked on Porsche.
Normally, as far as the aforementioned items (1) through (4) are concerned, "The Panamera will be sold. And I won't buy a new one.Suffice it to say that "the
I had no idea that I would become so fascinated with Porsche, even though I was not interested in cars at all in the first place. There are many wonderful cars in the world, and when I drive one, I think, "I love it! but when I drive a Porsche afterwards, I think, "I love it!Oh, I knew it was a Porsche...He began to sound like Kazuo Shimizu.
When you have a baby, your life becomes all about taking care of the baby, and you don't have time for yourself.Perhaps for the time being, we will not be able to drive our cars as freely as we have in the past.On top of that, I have to raise my two older children.
Also, since the Boxster and GT3 are two-seaters, a baby seat for a rear-facing baby cannot be placed in the passenger seat for safety reasons. So, if the Panamera is gone, I will not be able to drive a Porsche at all at all for a few months.
Just thinking about that is hopeless... (-_-)
Therefore.
I know I am being extravagant 100 times, but somehow I would like to see you keep one Porsche that can accommodate four people.(Air-cooled cars can't be ridden in the summer...)
I have almost no desire for anything else, and I don't need any brand name items at all, so I'm asking for this one thing. Otherwise, I'll run out of things to blog about, and my blog may have to end...!
When I pressed my husband on such matters, he said, "Well, okay. Thank you...
What's next for the Panamera?
To summarize what I have said so far, when considering the aforementioned items (1) to (5), the Cayenne and Panamera are too large in body size to fit our family's current lifestyle.
There was also the option of the "Taikan," but even though it was a size smaller than the Panamera, it was still large and "not as good as the Panamera."We may have to wait and see a bit more to see what kind of electric car Porsche makes. This was called the "I'm sorry.
So, when I think about what is a compact body size, Porsche, and can accommodate four people... the only option left is the "911"! So, we decided to go withThe next candidate for the Panamera was decided to be the 911 (992).My husband has been working on this series of car selections for a while now.
I have always been a "Why don't you just dial 911?You used to say that sometimes. That may have sounded like a joke, but I was more serious than you might think (laughs).
After driving the 992, I can say that air-cooled and GT3 are better from the viewpoint of maximum wind speed of "fun", but I think that the 992 is more enjoyable than the GT3.This 992 is even easier and more comfortable to drive than its predecessor. In that sense, I thought, "It's easier to use in everyday life. I think it is easier to experience high performance in daily life.
And, you know, other manufacturers are good, too.I knew it was a Porsche.I'm not talking about handling limits or any other dimension.Just turning at an intersection is natural to my senses.I don't know. It feels good to be able to do what I want.
I was surprised to hear that. Indeed, this natural feeling of being able to drive as one with the car is something that is hard to experience in other cars. My husband continued
I was impressed by what Kazutoshi Mizuno, the developer of Nissan's GT-R, said the other day when he drove the GT3.
"We need to add a little 0.05 second of play in the steering gain, and at the end, we need to give the driver a pause when he or she controls the car. This can only be done by someone who knows the field. It cannot be created by drawings. It cannot be created by analysis. It cannot be made by a manufacturer.
A driver who knows this, a driver who knows racing and knows production cars, and an engineer who knows racing and knows production cars, must work together, feeling the movement of the car with their senses, not just "words", to create a car like this.
This is not a car made by a manufacturer, it is a car made perfectly by people.".
When I heard this, I was really convinced. I thought, "This is the difference between us and other manufacturers.
He said.
Still, I can't believe I bought a 4-seater 911 for a family of 5... (explosion) So, that's enough for today since it's been a long time. Next time, I will finally write about which grade of 911 I chose.

I was right, not even the "k" word for 911 came to mind (laughs).
I look forward to reading your sequel article on the 911 selection.
Mr. Ishi.
I too was surprised by this turn of events, as up until February I thought "it's Cayenne" (laughs).
I hope you will look forward to the sequel article.
Thank you!
Congrats on your shortlisted car!
With your family growing, I would have imagined it would be something of the four-door type.
I was surprised it turned out to be a 911!
I look forward to reading about the next grade release.
Buzzer beater! Mr.
>With your family growing, I would have imagined it would be something of the 4-door type.
I'm sure that's what they usually do...why two doors, of all things... (laughs)
I hope you enjoy my next post!
You have decided on a car to purchase.
I don't know anything about other people's families' car choices."
↑I think everyone who reads Mina's blog would like to know ☺️.
If you don't want to know, I'm afraid you haven't read my blog.
This has nothing to do with the car I bought, but when I read Mina's blog, I always think of how grateful I am to her husband.
While my husband takes the kids to the park."
I am dusted by the expressions such as "I am a good person.
I am sure that because Mina-san is doing so many things properly, the master must be responding to his actions with various things.
I think they are a wonderful couple.
The problem, however, is the corona.
The Porsche production line has also stopped and I really hope that Corona will be fixed soon.
bamboo production
Thank you for everything.
Car choice, finally decided...! LOL!
Thank you for your kind words.
I usually have a hard time expressing my gratitude.
I'm allowed to spend my time as I please.
Maybe that's why I blog about it (laughs).
>But the problem is Corona.
I know... the announcement from Porsche's home country said the plant would be shut down for a couple of weeks.
I think this situation will stop for a few months.
The Corona case has made me rethink the way I work, etc.
Hi Mina.
You are now at 992. Excellent.
I am wondering when the car will be delivered.
By the way, as a reader, I would love to see a review of the child seat on the Boxster GTS.
The Equipment Accessory Finder shows that the 981 Boxster GTS also offers a "Baby Seat Group 0+".
I think there is a set that includes a front passenger airbag release function and ISO FIX mounting bracket. For some reason, child seats are limited to rear seats in Japanese cars, but I think front seats are not so rare in Europe.
I saw a story in Minkara about the limited reclining of the 911, but the Boxster doesn't recline much in the first place.
More to the point, I am interested in a 992 with 3 kids, the older two in the back seat and a baby in the front.
However, if the family's policy is to only allow the child to ride in the back seat, that is a different story.
PorscheDreamer.
Thank you! We finally settled on 992.
For baby seats and car seats, please contact us.
I didn't know much at all and thought that the information I knew was all I had.
Thank you for telling us!
I did some quick research and found a baby seat.
That's pretty expensive...!
But I also thought it might be a good idea to try a Porsche baby seat at this time.
Thank you!
Please go all out on the Porsche Road.
Please continue to blog, not out of a sense of obligation, but as a release of stress from childbirth and childcare.
I also pay attention to the nail polish on the hand that accompanies the steering wheel.
Mr. Side Machine.
Thank you!
I hope to be able to continue to enjoy blogging and also to be able to buy my own Porsche in the future.
Thank you for the nails! I get excited when I get my nails done (laughs).
So you've decided on the 911 after all!
Too funny!
Because I've never been in a 911 and thought of it as a four-passenger car.
I don't have it...
I've never thought of the rear seat as anything more than luggage storage.
I was very happy with the results.
In fact, I've never had anyone in the rear seat.
On the other hand, the little ones fit in nicely.
Money ( ´´saurus´´)
Mr. Whooper.
Yes, I ended up with 911 (laughs).
My kids loved the back seat of the air-cooled Porsche.
After all, it seems to fit perfectly.
My husband also said, "We may only be able to ride 911 as a family now that our children are young.
I can drive as many Panameras and Cayennes as I want when my kids are older."
And I said, "Yes, indeed! I thought.
Congrats on the pregnancy and the new car! I thought I was the base for the 992.
I actually would like to ride a 992 bass someday. How long will it take to get one after I apply?
The options I would definitely like to add are: Sprockets, exhaust, leather seats, and a glass roof (the type that opens).
Yoshikichi.
Thank you!
992, order to delivery, when we heard about it, was six months at the earliest.
I am thinking that the Corona will inevitably cause a lot of delays...
>The options I would definitely like to add are: Sprockets, exhaust, leather seats, and a glass roof (the type that opens).
I like it so much, I can add my favorite options to the bare bones.
Hello Mina.
Sorry for the delay, but congratulations on your pregnancy and decision on the next car.
Is it a bare-bones Macan on its own? A daring Panamera 4 Sport Turismo for 5 people? I imagined it to be a Carrera, but I was too obliquely surprised that it was the third Carrera in a family of five (laughs).
But I understand that feeling very well now.
I was also thinking of replacing my 981 Spyder with a URACAN EVO Spyder OR 488 Spyder OR gtc4 lusso, but when I actually experienced Lamborghini and Ferrari, I was so impressed with the performance of Porsche that I will never sell my 981 Spyder. I have come to the conclusion that I will never sell my 981 Spyder.
And if they are willing to die and add more gtc4 lusso cars (laughs)
It is true that there are many things that I personally prefer over Porsche, such as interior and exterior design, sound, brand value, etc., but it is the Porsche that gives me the feeling of driving comfortably, turning, and stopping, and the ability to swoon just by turning at an intersection....
Knowing that I will surely want a Carrera, I would like to make gtc4 lusso my gateway to Porsche freak (lol).
Oh, and someone put a child seat in the back seat of a BMW 2 series coupe, so it looks like the Carrera should be no problem either!
ds1243
Thank you!
>I was too obliquely surprised that this was the third Carrera in a family of five (laughs).
That's right (laughs).
>When I actually experienced Lamborghini and Ferrari, I was so impressed with the performance of Porsche that I would never sell my 981 Spyder. I came to the conclusion that I would never sell the 981 Spyder (laughs).
Oh...! The 981 Spyder is a very famous car, isn't it? If I let it go, I would regret it later on.
gtc4 lusso, more cars, awesome! Insanely cool lineup!
I've never actually put a car seat in a 911.
As the children get older, they won't need such an exaggerated car seat.
I hope it all settles down nicely!
Hello Mina and sir.
It was a 911, after all.
I thought it was a 911 element.
But if we go further, is it a cabriolet? And.
This means that if you turn the baby into an oven, the baby
Because it's easy to put it in a car seat in the back seat (lol).
Once when we were considering switching from his wife's A4.
Mini's Cabriolet told the above reasons in a very droll manner.
Sometimes not only the wife, but also the dealer's salespeople don't
I've had the experience of having been "done" to me, so it's an easy answer for me.
But as others have commented, I'm a 911 guy.
I have a feeling they think the rear seat is for the kids.
The last time I switched from a Boxster to a 911, I had my kids in it.
But time passed.
And that the kids are now 180 and 164 tall and back to Boxster.
The new name is now "TM". Is it full of a feeling of being taken for granted? (lol)
Anyway, grade announcement? I️ look forward to waiting for it.

>Just to take it further, is it a cabriolet? And.
That's what I'm talking about! Your answer (laugh) is amazing! Thank you!
> oven because it's easier to put the baby in the car seat in the back seat (lol).
My husband said the same thing.
I thought, "If I make it open, it will be so much easier to do it.
As you say, I think it's the only time we'll get to ride in a 911 as a family.
Now I would like to enjoy the interior of this compact car with my family.
