Tested the effectiveness of car wheel coatings - tried to see if only a car wash or high-pressure washer can really remove dirt.

Go to the automatic car wash!

First, I decided to go to an automatic car wash. By the way, this is the wheel before it was washed by the automatic car wash machine.

In this way, it is quite dirty. As for the automatic car wash course, my heart may be in the right place.Lower Intensive CourseI chose the "I chose the "I chose the "I chose the "I chose the

So what happened to the wheels after they were washed in the automatic car wash...

Well, it's subtle... (-_-) It's certainly cleaner, but it's not shiny. The worst of the dirt has not been removed. If you zoom in a little, it looks like this.

I wonder if wheel coatings are too expensive and not worth it....

I used a high pressure washer!

On second thought...Next, I decided to wash it with a high-pressure washer.By the way, here is the wheel before washing.

Dirty... Actually, it was my first time to use a high-pressure cleaner, so I was slightly nervous and pressed the switch, and was surprised at how strong the water pressure was at the very beginning. That's what they call "high pressure"!(No wonder.)

."If I drop my phone here and it gets submerged, it's the end of the world.I was scared to death, but while taking pictures of the cleaning process, I took a quick look at the wheel and was amazed!

I only applied it for about 10 seconds, but it cleaned the dirt off the wheels beautifully!

This is amazing! And it feels great (lol). In about a minute, all the dirt on all four wheels were clean.

And when my husband came home that day, I showed him the pictures and told him the story.

Yes, it's really clean. I know that a high-pressure washer is not enough to remove stubborn dirt from the base of the hubs of the Boxster wheels, and you have to scrub the smallest parts.I still think the wheel coating is effective.In.

This was the case.

Are wheel coatings effective?

Wheel coating is expensive and may not be necessary for those who frequently wash their cars clean by themselves. However, for me, who is a sloppy person, it is a good idea to use the "Stain-resistant, and even if it does, it can be easily removed.Thankfully, "thank goodness" is a good thing.

In addition, theThe effect is said to last one year at 11,000 yen, so a little over 900 yen per month. So, I guess it's not such an expensive investment. However, I will continue to examine whether the effect will really last for about a year.

    I always enjoy reading this.
    Wheel coiting is nice!

But when you had them coated, did you remove the tires, clean the backs of the wheels, and coat them?

I'm still concerned about what I can see, but I'm also concerned about what I can't see. Or maybe I'll just stop by the store.

Thank you for visiting our blog.

      >But when you had them coated, did you remove the tires, clean the backs of the wheels, and coat them as well?

The website said if I took the wheel off and brought it in, they would clean the back side.
I vaguely recall being told "we cleaned up the back too"...

Sorry I don't remember correctly... I'll ask again next time I'm there!

  2. possible

I was like, "Hee hee hee. After high-pressure cleaning, I always scrubbed by hand, but I didn't know there was such a way. I will give it a try. But, neither 718 nor 63 are spoke type, and both of them are black, so fortunately the dirt is not so noticeable.

      potential acid

I've been looking at a lot of things lately, thinking that black wheels are nice and cool and don't show dirt.
Washing is quite a hassle, and it is best if the stains are not noticeable.

When I order a new car, I have the body, wheels, and chrome plating all coated.
    The body is so-so.
Chrome plating is also required because it will rust aluminum in the rain, which is typical of European cars.
As for the wheels, I wash them by hand frequently, which saves me a lot of time and effort.

To begin with, are you the type of person who doesn't mind sticking your car into a car wash machine? The latest car wash machines of the Eneos (including Mobil) series have soft sponges, so you can go into them.
Other than that, a hard rubber scraper like Cosmo will still get scratches all over. I don't care about that kind of thing, but I'm sure it will get scratches as a result of running my car into it.

      So everything is coated first!
      That's the best though...

As for BMWs, I don't care, I just shove them in the car wash (blast).
I originally bought it with the mindset of "I don't care if I bump it a little, and I'll ride it until it falls apart.
I really don't care about anything, and the scratches from the car wash don't bother me at all, so I'm sorry I really don't care anymore....

But then again, I've never run my Porsche through a car wash.
      I can't go into it...
I don't want to get even the slightest scratch, and I'm afraid that I won't be able to wash it by hand.
