What is the Weissach Package, which costs about 3 million yen and is installed by 90% of Porsche 911GT2RS buyers?

What is the Weissach Package?
Let me preface this by saying. The Weissach Research Center is the heart of Porsche, where all the latest technology and Porsche know-how are stored.and an important facility, I looked into the Weissach Package. The Weissach Package is roughly characterized by"We have achieved a thoroughly lightweight structure, providing a world that is as close to motorsports as possible."This is what they are saying.
So it's not for daily use or driving on mountain passes, but only on the track.(And I mean it.)This package is designed to do just that. Well, that's what it is when it's only on the GT2RS and GT3RS.
The Weissach Package was first introduced on the 918 Spyder and is currently being introduced on the911GT3RS succeeded in reducing weight by nearly 18kgI am. I would think, "What... only 18 kg (-_-)? But the normal GT3RS has a sticker emblem and door knobs with strings in order to reduce the weight.
What is the difference in appearance?
The optional Weissach package makes a big difference in appearance.Front lid and roof made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic with carbon crease finish, large "PORSCHE" logo on rear wingenters.
And despite the weight reduction, the only thing we did not do to reduce weight. That is.Weissach package logo on headrest... They say that clearly stating this is an expression of the pride they have in this Weissach package. Incidentally, it was also displayed at the Goodwood Festival the other day.

The vehicle price of the GT2 RS in Japan is 36,560,000 yen including consumption tax. The Weissach package is available as an option for 2,657,000 yen to 3,241,000 yen, but the installation rate of this package on the 911 GT2 RS is said to be over 90%.
What is the future of the Weissach package?
In the autoblog article mentioned at the beginning of this article, theAndreas Proininger, head of development for Porsche's GT division, does not rule out the possibility of introducing other lightweighting packages in the future besides the RS model."It was written. However, the bottleneck in expanding the number of models introduced is the procurement of parts, according to(The Weissach package has become more popular than expected, and further expansion of the model would make it difficult to stock parts.)He is not sure what will actually happen.
Well, well...it's amazing. The world surrounding cars is deep, there are a lot of incredibly rich people in the world, and Porsche's marketing ability to capture the hearts of these Porsche fans is also amazing. I would like to work for Porsche in Germany and feel the true essence of Porsche.(I don't speak German or English.)

When I heard the name Weissach, I thought that the next model Z used 928 Weissach axles in the past.
I recall that we were developing the product under the slogan, "Go beyond.
That's how much we used Porsche as a benchmark.
I was not in the design department, but I was still interested in Porsche.
I'm finally driving a foreign car (outside of that company), a Boxster, and it's not as good as the R32 GTR.
I am amazed at the magnitude of the difference.
