Step 1. Remove dirt with a high-pressure washer.

I wash my car by hand in hot summer and cold winter whenever I have time!
In midwinter, when it's below freezing, the water will freeze before it blows up, so I don't do it.
If the weather is nice and the car is dirty, I go back home to wash it during my lunch break from work. (Because it is close to my office).
As a test, I counted the number of times I have washed my car since January of this year, and as of the end of October, I have washed it a total of 74 times (not one car, of course, but multiple cars). (Of course, not one car, but multiple cars.)
At this rate, I don't think we'll reach 100 times a year...

Regarding car washing, I am a lazy person and do not like to wash my car, so I cannot drive a black car that shows dirt.
I believe that it is during the car wash that the car body gets the most scratches.
To make the dirt as inconspicuous as possible, we chose white for the Cayenne and brown for the 981S as the body color.
Previously, the carport in front of the house and the garage at the back of the house were unpaved, so we just had to park them and they were covered in dust just as strangers walked by.
Even if the body cover is kept on, the fine dust that passes through it will adhere to it.
This year, we took the following dust control measures in a bold move.
(1) Ceiling and interior walls were covered in the garage to eliminate exposed columns and beams.
(2) Dutch foam tape (19 mm diameter round urethane tape) was applied to the underside of the garage shutters to eliminate the concrete gaping.
(Tape to seal gaps in sheet metal paint)
(iii) A 60-meter pathway from the entrance of the house to the end of the garage was permeable pavement.
(4) Only half of the garage (the side where the 918S is placed) was glued with wood-grain P-tile over an epoxy floor coating agent, and the edges were enclosed with 40 mm wide, 4 mm hot aluminum material.
(The reason why only half of the space was covered with P-tiles is because I use the other half of the space for maintenance of my motorcycle hobby, and I was worried that the center stand might damage the floor or stain the floor with oil, etc.)
I'm not sure any one of these methods would have solved the problem, but the synergistic effect of all four has resulted in much less dust.
Among them, (3) was very effective.
I thought it would be perfect if I raised the garage floor 2CM just inside the shutters to make a step, but even with just foam tape, the dust is completely different between the inside and outside of the shutters.
I also think it would be perfect if the dust could be stopped from entering through the gap between the shutter and the rail on the side of the shutter, but I can't think of a suitable way to do this at the moment.

Our house is detached but rented, so we cannot remodel the parking lot, but I am envious of the shuttered parking lot that we would definitely prefer if it were originally available....
