Porsche 911 or Lexus LC500?
I recently received this consultation on my blog.
Currently, thePorsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet (992 model) and Lexus LC500 ConvertibleI need advice as a 911 (992) owner.
And.
In fact, "I am struggling with ____ and ____ regarding the purchase of a car.We have received many inquiries about cars. A car is an expensive purchase, and even if you gather information on the Internet, you may not be able to find the information you want, or conversely, there may be too much information, making it difficult to make a decision.
When you asked me the opening question, I knew almost nothing about the LC500, so I went to the official website and found that "Luxury coupe pursuing beauty and driving appealHe was introduced as "the
The pictures of the interior are quite luxurious and sophisticated, and it's kind of like, "I don't know.I wonder if the car is like a Mercedes-Benz SL.I was under the impression that the
And to my husband, "I got a question about a person who is torn between a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet and a Lexus LC500 convertible. This person has actually test driven the 911, but what do you think?I asked him, "What do you mean?" and he said something like this.
The 911 Cabriolet and the LC500 cannot be compared to begin with.I think so. Visually, some people may think they are the same because they are "luxury cars", but the concept is completely different, and...I think it is better to think of them as a completely different category of car.
When I took the 911 for a test drive at the dealership, I was told, "Easy to ride in townI understand that "the performance of the car is very high," but I think it is difficult to understand the tremendous performance of the car just by driving on ordinary roads.
On the circuit or on the mountain passes, "I'm not going to be able to do that.911 is a sports car with seriously refined driving performanceI can see why.
So, if I were to give advice, I would say, "Which one to choose depends on what you are looking for in a car.I wonder if it would be called "the
If you want a luxurious interior with most of today's conveniences, a luxurious atmosphere, and comfortable driving on highways with the seats folded down, the LC500 would be a good choice, and if you want a "super" high performance sports car that you can drive hard on mountain passes and even on circuits, the 911 If you want a "super" high performance sports car that you can drive on mountain roads and even on circuits, then I would say 911.
Of course, both can be driven as sporty or luxurious in their own way, but I think they are very different in the emphasis they place on it in the first place.
I can tell you one more thing. If you expect a 911 to be luxurious like the LC500, or to have the quality, quietness, smoothness, and hospitality of a Japanese industrial product, you may regret it a bit.I might. As I wrote the other day.Strange interior noises, tire gurgling in cold winters, squealing brakesI think the 911 is more of a hard car that focuses on driving.
This was the case.
Car Selection Criteria
Her husband also said.
I can see the difference in concept when I look at the websites of these two cars in comparison. Porsche presses the model name.Output, 0-100km acceleration, and top speedis the first thing that comes up. The main information is about performance and performance.
But looking at the LC500 website, it's more than driving.Luxury coupe conceptis a sight to behold. It never says anything like, "I drove the Nürburgring in minutes!" I'm sure they don't write anything like that.
So much more than "driving performance."Luxury, comfortI guess it's a car that focuses on the "what if" factor. For those who are looking for that kind of thing, I think it's great.
Really, car selection varies greatly from person to person, and in the end, it comes down toWhat I want from my car.I think it is important to choose a car with a clear "what I like" in mind. What you like in the appearance and interior is different from what you like in the driving experience, so it is important not to be misled by visual information.
And.
In the pastAMGS63 coupe was in my house. When the "How do you feel when comparing the Panamera Turbo and the S63?I wrote an article titled "The first time I saw a car, it was completely different, from the ride to the driving experience.
I'm not saying one is better or worse than the other, just a matter of taste.I prefer a solid ride over a luxurious interior, etc., and I prefer a slightly firmer ride than too soft.So I like the Panamera, but on the other hand, I thought, "I guess the majority of people in the world prefer the S-Class...".
."It depends on what you want.I think that the same thing can be said about choosing a job or a company, not just about cars.
On the other hand, if you are more concerned about growth and earning potential at work and not about benefits and office cleanliness, then you should choose Company A. The direction of the company will vary greatly depending on what you value most.
So, the "Company A is the best environment for Mr. A, but not good at all for Mr. B.I am sure that there is no such thing as the best company or job for everyone.
This is a bit off topic, but even so, with cars, there are many things that cannot be understood until you actually own the car, and there are individual differences, and the driving and ride quality often changes as you drive the car, so I think it is really difficult to understand.
In that sense, this blog is a personal blog that does not need to be discerned by anyone, so I hope that by writing our honest opinions as much as possible, I can be of some help to those who are looking to purchase a car.

Hi Mina.
The criteria for choosing a car is very difficult, isn't it?
Our family has undergone a major lifestyle change since having a child, and in fact, we have decided to take the plunge and replace our Boxster Spyder, which has just been inspected, with a Ferrari California.
As I am still inexperienced, I do not have the time and financial resources to own many animals like the master does, and I thought that if I had to drive a 2-person car a few times a month, the car would be happier if it were a 2+2 that could be driven by the family...
The two models in just this article were naturally candidates, but we decided that the 911 was too sporty, the LC500 was too luxurious, and the California's looseness was a good compromise. (The California at the bottom of the barrel, including resale, is cosmetically superior.)
I am not yet ready for a manual midship....
I now have the motivation to work hard so that one day I can add another Boxster to my fleet.
I will continue to visit every article as I am still a Porsche fan.

I have my own preferences, and as you said, family and lifestyle changes have a big impact.
I think it is very difficult.
>In a sudden turn of events, the Boxster Spyder, which had just been inspected, was to be replaced by a Ferrari California.
Oh yes!!!
As a family car, a Ferrari California would be insanely stylish and cool!!!
>I now have the motivation to work hard so that one day I can add another Boxster to my fleet.
Oh wow... 981 Spyder is really a great car...!
I, for one, will do my best to get myself a Porsche!
Thank you for your continued support.
I always enjoy looking at your site.
Seeing is believing.
I guess I'll just have to buy both, in any order.
There are many things that can only be gained through experience, so the experience of being an owner of both a Porsche and a Lexus will help you choose the right car afterwards.
I feel that it enriches the
Given the background of your blog, I say screw it and get in the Porsche!
I hope so!

Thank you for visiting our blog.

Sure, there's a lot you don't know until you actually ride and own one!
And it's so awesome and cool that you own both Lexus and Porsche......^^^^!
Hi, I drive an aventuri green Carrera (I commented once).
A long time ago, I was waiting at a traffic light and a cabriolet of the same color stopped behind me. I think it was probably not driven by her husband.
I just wanted to comment that I happened to test drive an LC500 convertible the other day.
I was curious to see how the V8 5-liter naturally supercharged engine would sound as it blasted up.
The result of the test drive was just as the owner said. The luxurious interior, smooth ride, and nice weather made me think that I would not get tired even if I drove a long distance in the open. I was able to step on the accelerator pedal in the "sport plus" mode, and it went to the red zone, but the process to get there was totally different from that of a Porsche. I was not impressed and there was a discrepancy between the acceleration and the feeling of acceleration that I had in mind. The Porsche has no such discrepancy, and it accelerates very pleasantly. When I downshifted, there was a loud popping sound, but it didn't suit the car and I didn't think it was necessary to go that far. I prefer the blipping sound of the Porsche.
I also drove the 992 on the test drive course and I was convinced that Porsche was the right choice for me.
I now understand what I am looking for in a car, which is the difference between a high performance car and a luxury car as described by your husband.
It was not what I was looking for, but as a car, it has a cool silhouette when open, and I thought it was a very nice car to drive on the highway while having a pleasant conversation with passengers with little wind roll in. These are just my personal opinions.
Sorry for the long post.
Kaz992.
Thank you!
>Long time ago, I was waiting at a traffic light and a cabriolet of the same color stopped behind me. I think it was probably not driven by your husband.
I asked my husband and he said, "Oh, I remember! It was right around here! I wanted to follow behind you for a long time, but I cried and cried and broke up with you on the way!
(laughter).
And thanks for the feedback on the LC500!
I am sure that the LC500 is well equipped with all the necessary features for a comfortable and leisurely ride.
I thought of this as I read your written statement.
For the wives who ride in the passenger seat, I'm sure many of them would definitely prefer the LC500 considering the wind roll in....
However, I'd like to test drive one myself ^^^!
I know exactly how you feel about being torn between the LC convertible and the 992 Carrera cabriolet, because I went through the same period!
When I went to the dealer to look at the LC convertible, I was surprised at the response that they didn't know if I asked questions about 0-100, etc.
After all, it is a luxury line and driving is secondary.
I would like to invite you to watch this video if you would like.

I wondered about this in that the heated seats require complicated controls to activate, the navigation system touch screen is difficult to use, the sport mode switch is in a strange place, and the convertible does not have 4WS (the coupe does).
The advantages of the convertible, at present, are the extremely good resale, the ease of getting in and out, the quality of the optional speakers, and the interior luxury that surpasses that of the Porsche.
As such, I am a 718 Spyder with a NA engine and driving style (and budget lol).
Yoshikichi.
Thank you for everything!
And thank you for the video!
It's like you are telling it like it is, and it's really easy to understand.
The interior is amazingly luxurious.
Compared in that way, Porsche's interior is really simple, isn't it?
>That's how I ended up with the 718 Spyder, with the NA engine and the driveability (and the budget lol).
That's great!
