Half a month after delivery of the Porsche Taikan, the mileage is 500 km.
Release Date
It has been half a month since the delivery of the Taikan 4S Cross Turismo.
I mainly run in my neighborhood, but sometimes I ran about 50 km round trip to Osaka for work, and in half a month I drove more than 500 km.
The fact that the Taikan runs great, though, is as noted in the test drive review we posted earlier,
My husband test drove a Porsche Taikan and I asked him what he thought.
Once again, I own it and ride it every day,I just have to take my hat off to the Taikan for its excellent balance of driving performance and comfort.
Even if you don't turn the steering wheel that far, it turns as much as you want it to turn (it also has rear axle steering), and as for the accelerator pedal, you only have to step on it a millimeter or two (just a little force on your foot), but it accelerates as much as you "want to accelerate"! Sensation.
The smoothness of the ride is also outstanding among Porsches.
It's hard to describe, but it was like going "noooooo"... (vocabulary w) No friction, no resistance, just sliding on the road... when I test-drove it before,It is as if the N and S poles of a magnet attract each other, and the surface of the road is snugly attached to the surface of the road.I thought it would run, but that's the feeling.
The ground feel is not half bad, and as for the suspension and driving, "It's a Porsche. You can feel it every time you drive.
I have driven 500 km so far and am highly satisfied in all situations, from short to medium distance driving.
In our parking lot, we charge the battery every day using only 100V household recharging, but the remaining battery charge never drops below 40% during normal use for work, daily shopping, etc. It was surprising that there was no inconvenience at all if the car is not used for long distances.
Well, it would be difficult to run long distances... (I'd like to write a separate article on charging related issues)
I'll try to describe Taikan's run.
Of course, this is certainly not good for resale,If you can enjoy such satisfying driving and comfort every day, why not at all?I even think it is.
I love the Panamera, I originally started this blog because I love the Panamera, and I still think the Panamera's "combination of driving and comfort" is great, but I feel the driving and comfort of the Taikan is better than the Panamera. (I know there are some differences between the different grades)
The Taikan drives more like a 911, more comfortable than a Panamera, and if the Panamera gets three to five more model changes, maybe this is the kind of driving it will be like."
As I have written many times on this blog, the driving and comfort of the Panamera is truly amazing. It is a 100 point car in my opinion, and on top of being great at all, the Taikan is so much more amazing than that.
On any surface, at any speed, it maximizes the driving pleasure of the Porsche while not compromising the quality of ride comfort.
In the acceleration when merging onto the highway, the car's acceleration performance is so stable and quiet that the sense of speed is almost imperceptible. Also, in acceleration and starting out in town, it has the smoothness and instantaneous power of a bullet train,No more stress about "this is such a high performance car, but it can't show its power in town."You can enjoy the taste of Porsche on any road.
As for comfort, even the 10- and 7-year-olds, who don't usually sleep much in the car, often sleep quite well in the back seat of the Taikan.
It runs so smoothly that it seems as if all the roads have been repaved.
Even on hard surfaces, the Taikan does not lose its flatness or comfort.
A very satisfying car in the sense that it provides the driver with the satisfaction of a sports car while maintaining an extremely high level of comfort for family members and passengersI feel that it is.
Expectations for Porsche's EV vehicles
Until now, we have not had a good impression of EVs due to concerns about charging infrastructure and convenience.
And for owning,Charging is a tedious hassle" and "impractical."The negative view was deeply rooted.
However, with Taikan in hand, that image has changed dramatically.
It is a car that has shattered my stereotypes of EVs in terms of driving pleasure, ride comfort, and the ability to feel like a Porsche at all times.
Porsche has maintained its Porsche character and taste in EVs, and in addition, the unique driving feel that cannot be experienced with gasoline-powered vehicles is enjoyable.
I'm really looking forward to future EV models like the Macan and Boxster. (I'd love to test drive one.)
But on the other hand, I feel that it is a waste that the good running qualities of the Taikan have not yet penetrated the public. (I feel that negative information such as charging infrastructure and resale is more prevalent.)
I hope to continue to post honest opinions and reports on daily use on my blog from the perspective of a Porsche driver.

I am D-Suke, a Taikan rider.
Thank you for your precise comments on Taikan!
It's a great car for sports car lovers with families, except for the resale (laughs).
By the way, I have the impression that the SOH you mentioned in the live feed settles at about 90%.
I have shared information among Taikan owners, and it is about 901 TP3T even after about 40,000 km.
By the way, the dealer can check the SOH, but it seems that the battery temperature must be above a certain level to check it, which may be difficult in the winter.

Thank you!

No, I really do! I think so so so much: !!!!

Yes, I see that even after 40,000 km, it is still settling at about 90%!
I'm going to learn a lot from now on, because I don't know everything about gasoline-powered cars.
I am a Taikan 4S rider. It has been about a year since I took delivery of the car last February. It has 10,000 km now and is doing very well.
The Taikan is a really nice car to drive. I think the term "on-the-rails" fits the car very well.
The acceleration is great, the ride is comfortable, and it's great!
I am concerned that the mileage is quite short in winter and that there are a few system troubles here and there, but it is an electric car and it is a foreign car.
So, we may have to close our eyes here.
The other day I had warm air coming out of my air conditioner and Porsche Connect communication was not working.
One thing I haven't been able to do yet in Taikan is long distance touring. This all requires a lot of planning or it will be very difficult if the dreaded event of an electric short circuit occurs. Please write another article on long-distance touring.
If there is a touring event for Taikan, I would love to participate! However, it might be difficult if we have only Taikan members, because they would be competing with each other for recharging.

You are exactly right! On the rails, it really feels good and fun.
In my house, too, the linkage with the Porsche app is somehow not working...
It may not reflect the charging status at all in real time,
I'm sure there will be a lot more to come out about system systems (sweat).
Long distance touring, I plan to try several times this year!
If the place is still freeway accessible, I could recharge the batteries along the way,
If you are going to a place where there is no charging environment at all,
I don't know where to go through it, how to go through it, it's like solving a conundrum,
I'm simulating it now (laughs).
I will write about it again!
