My Family's Car Life

Swisspo sale!

I am happy to report that my current car, a Suzuki Swift Sport, has been successfully sold, thanks to readers and Twitter RTs.

Thank you very much indeed!

The Suzuki Swift Sport was delivered to me in October 2021 and has served me very well as my partner for about a year and a half. The mileage is about 9,500 km. I drove it almost everyday because I mainly used it around the neighborhood, but I didn't drive it much as far as distance.

."Budget is around 2,000,000 yen, MT, fun to drive, 5-seater, compact, easy to use for daily use. When I was looking for a car with the condition of "I'm not a car person," I came across this car.

I wasn't particular about a new car, but when I looked for a Swissport MT on a used car website at the time, it was just at a time when prices were high, or so I thought. What's that? This is not much different in price from buying a new car...So, we decided to buy a new car.

2021, 6-speed manual transmission, 1370 CC, body color Burning Red Pearl Metallic with Black 2-tone roof, hood and side decals.

It was the first new car he purchased in his life, and he was deeply attached to it.

It was thanks to the Swissport that I was able to do blipping, which I was so bad at and could not do at all, as naturally as if I inhaled and exhaled. If my budget allowed, I would have two cars and keep them forever.

Selling costs were used to purchase the Carrera T.

The decision to sell Swisspo was made,Because he bought his first Porsche, a 911 Carrera T.However, we had initially planned to slow down the schedule for the sale of the Swissport (although we planned to use the money from the sale to make a down payment on the Carrera T). (Although the plan was to use the money from the sale as a down payment on a Carrera T.)

I had a feeling that the Carrera T was going to be delivered late, so I was hoping to get it out in early March and sell it by June....

Therefore, we thought it would be a problem if it sold too quickly, so we initially offered it at a strong price of 1,890,000 yen (the market price is about 1,700,000 yen).

However, in a reversal, the delivery of the Carrera T was accelerated. If we don't, we won't be able to meet our plan to use the funds from the sale of the Swift Sport as a down payment. The decision was made that "the

Therefore, we re-cleaned the interior areas that had become noticeably dirty in the photos posted at the time,I took the photos again, had them replaced, and also drastically lowered the price by 400,000 yen to 1,498,000 yen. (I think that was the lowest price on the market at that time.)

Then, when I wrote on Twitter that "if it doesn't sell by the end of April, we will take it down and put it up for a batch assessment," and asked for RTs, many of you spread the word.

Thanks to your efforts, we were able to close the deal at the end of April for 1,498,000 yen, just in time to sell the property. (We are currently exchanging documents, etc.) Thank you very much!

The Porsche 911 Carrera T is also set to be delivered...

This was my first experience exhibiting my car at Kababa, and I really learned a lot.

I learned that when selling a car, it is important to clean every inch of the car beforehand, including both the exterior and interior, before having it appraised, and to pay attention to every detail. I also learned that I should have been more aware of the market movements before I put the car up for sale, and that it is important to move with plenty of time to spare when putting it up for sale on Kababa. (I probably should have started putting them out at the beginning of the year.)

Anything,When you just listen to other people's experiences, it's a whole different thing to try it yourself. And I think it was another good experience.

Nevertheless, I really appreciate your RTs. I'm going to throw in a few words along the way and say "I'll never be able to sell it again! Well, I'll trade it in for a little over a million yen now!I told my husband, "I'm so happy to be here," etc., but thanks to all of you, I was able to make it this far.

Once again, I wish to express my gratitude to all of you...thank you so much!

...So, as for the Carrera T, I went to the pre-delivery procedure the other day and the car is scheduled for delivery at the end of May. I hope to write more about that in a future article.

I know many Porsche owners have older cars, so during Golden Week, my car had a drivetrain problem and I was able to stay at the dealership with my car in the car. I tried to see if I could use Tokio Marine & Nichido's breakdown coverage special clause, which was introduced in January of this year. The insurance company said that consumable parts are not applicable to begin with, but labor charge is also not applicable, so I was able to determine that it is not applicable even if I pay 4,000 yen for the insurance.
In other words, it seems that the insurance company (Tokio Marine & Nichido) has a hare or a rip-off-like incidental condition.
If you use it, your insurance bill will go up by 44,000 yen the following year, even though the use of a rental car or an in-vehicle vehicle doesn't affect your grade...
We have informed you of this reality. ,,

    Hello Mina and Hiro.

I've bought and sold cars several times, and this article made me realize that buying a car is easy, but selling a car is hard. But selling a car is difficult. The market is very severe. Above all, the seller wants to sell it for as high a price as possible because he or she knows the feelings of the time of purchase, how carefully it has been handled after purchase, and the total amount of the purchase price. When buying, it is easy in a sense because it can be bought with momentum and vigor. Of course, I think it is easy to sell if it is much cheaper than the market price, but selling is really difficult or deep. By the way, congratulations on the Carrera T. I am very happy to hear that you have decided on the delivery date! It's finally here! I am looking forward to hearing more news.

      Thank you!
As you say, selling is difficult...!
I also keep an eye on the market, the market conditions at the time, and other such factors,

Above all, you need to sell immediately! We would be in a hurry in a situation like this,
Selling with a margin is also important, I think,
(although I suspect they're more likely to want to sell right away)

I'm still nervous about how the Carrera T will look when I sell it, though (laughs).
Anyway, I don't care about such things and want to enjoy myself.

      Thank you!

    Good evening, Mina!
I am glad to hear that it sold safely at Kababa.
In fact, I had also listed it on Kababa at the same time, but there was not much of a response, so I decided to sell it in an auction format called Selca.
I learned very much that the initial pricing is very important, even for private transactions. (I regretted that I had made a mistake in setting a bullish price even though the market was collapsing.)

Congratulations on the finalized delivery of the Carrera T!
I think my Panamera is the same shipping service, but still no shipping call from Toyohashi,,
At this rate, we will have to deliver the car in June, and then we will have to face the Porsche Festival without a car.

      Mr. Omochi.
      Thank you!
I'm waiting for the pickup call now ^^^.

      >Actually, I had also listed on Kababa at the same time, but there was not much of a response, so I decided to sell it in an auction format called Selca.
Oh - you sold it in Selca!
I was also thinking that if I couldn't sell at Kababa, I would have to go to Selca.
Pricing when selling is really difficult...I realized how difficult it is and it was a good learning experience.

      Oh, and the Panamera!
Then the car will be delivered in June...!
      I am very excited...!
