Porsche grill badge
The other day, a package arrived from overseas addressed to my husband. When I opened it, I foundPorsche grill badgewas in the box. Come to think of it, I have seen a Porsche with this kind of badge at the Ashiu observatory.
I asked my husband about it, and he said that he had seen Porsches with these on their grill on social media for some time.I like it. I wish I could put it on my Porsche. He thought, "I've been thinking about this for a long time.
However, if I put such a thing on my car, I would smell like a Porsche geek heading straight for the Porsche geek road...but I guess that's okay, since I am already a Porsche geek (laughs).
Whatever, the grill badge I received this time was a limited edition badge. They sometimes have a premium on Yahoo! Auctions, etc.But my husband found it for about 10,000 yen on an American website and ordered it all the way from the U.S.
Incidentally, this 911 (991) grille badge was produced in a limited edition of 2015, with serial number 1196.
And this one, with a Martini Racing design, was produced in a limited edition of 1,971 pieces, with a serial number of 192.
And my husband, respectively.Grille badge with 911 on it on a GT3 and a Martini Racing grille badge on an air-cooled Porsche 964.I decided to put it on.
Put a grill badge on your Porsche!
After the grill badges arrived, my husband promptly wrote, "I'm going to put it on my car!I said, "I'm sorry," and headed for the parking lot of my house, but he didn't come back until an hour or two later. I wondered if she had gone for a drive somewhere after putting it on...and shortly after, my husband returned home.
If you ask me.It took two hours to put on two patches. And (laughs) my husband says.
The GT3 had a thin grille mesh so I could put it on right away. The 964 had a hard time with the grille because the fins were too thick and too short for the screws that came with it.I had to stick one hand under the grill to hold the small bolt and washer and turn the screw on top. Many times I dropped the bolts and washers into the engine compartment and had to look through a fiberscope to remove them, so it took a long time (laughs).
I would have given up putting it on if it were that hard... (-_-). If it were that hard, I would have given up putting it on... (-_-) And here is the grill badge that I put on after much effort.
It oozes the atmosphere of a Porsche enthusiast, and isn't that nice?
Originally, grill badges were often limited edition event merchandise or owner's club items, and I think that cars with various interactions tend to have more numerous badges, like military history.
The grille badge is not from an event, but a genuine Porsche badge, and I chose it as a small customization.I'm not the type of person who wants to do too much extra work. Personally, I'm the type of person who doesn't want to do too much extra work, but I figured that if I got bored with the badge, I could take it off, so I did it anyway.
At first, I was conscious of the fact that I had put it on, so my eyes were drawn to it, and it looked strange, but once I got used to it, it blended in with the car's design and looked natural.
He said. How about you guys too, if you don't mind... (laughs)

Thank you very much.
I like your grill badge!
Martini has always had a close relationship with Porsche.
I also have a grill badge from a club called "CLUB 911" that I joined with my friends in Yokohama about 30 years ago. Please take a look at it again.
