The Ecology of Men Fascinated by Cars - A Wife of a Car-Loving Husband

My Family's Car Life

Famous cars gathered in Ashiu

Recently, I have been going to Ashiari Driveway on Sunday mornings once a month. In particular, I have beenOn a sunny Sunday morning, many old and new sports cars and famous cars gather at the observatoryThe atmosphere in the area is often extraordinary because of the "cool" atmosphere of the area.

The other day, there was a large gathering of cars rarely seen on the street, including a new Porsche 911 (992), a rare air-cooled Porsche, and a BMW Z8.

We parked our car at the observation deck and listened to him speak.Everyone really likes cars!I realized once again that "the most important thing is to have a good time. Of course, there is talk about things other than cars, but still"You should try that model," "XXX store is very good."Almost 90% of the conversation is about cars.

If we talked every week, we would eventually run out of things to talk about, but I guess we never do (laughs).

No one has ever said, "I'm not going toI want to relax at least in the morning on my day off.I was so impressed by the motivation of all of you who willingly got up early in the morning and took the trouble to gather here...the power of hobbies is tremendous.

The Ecology of the Car-Loving Husband

Needless to say, my husband is also a car geek who lives by the motto "No Car, No Life. My husband is a car geek and a "No Car, No Life" kind of person.(Sorry, W.), ,When it comes to cars, he instantly turns on his motivation and transforms into a different person.Do.

It's as if "When 551's pork buns are available When there is noW is as different as "W(I guess only people in Kansai can understand it...)To recap, here's how it's organized.

(1) I get up early when it comes to cars.

My husband goes to work every weekday after dropping our oldest daughter off at kindergarten, usually waking up just in time to eat a rice ball in about 30 seconds and rush to work. On weekends, he sleeps late in the morning and often finds himself sleeping on the couch during the day.

butThe days for touring and going to Ashiu Driveway are different. He sets his alarm firmly, and whether his family is asleep or not, he gets up quickly before 6:00 a.m. and goes out.

It amazes me every time I see how much a hobby can change a person's behavior...or rather, make me laugh.

(2) No hassle when it comes to cars.

My husband is quite a pain in the ass, and on the weekends, when I say, "Do you want to go to ________?" on weekends.

I'm not going. It looks like there will be too many people and it's a hassle (-_-)

They usually say, "I heard that a new restaurant opened in the neighborhood the other day. I heard that a new restaurant opened in the neighborhood the other day.

Oh yeah, I don't know, I'm not going (-_-)

The conversation ends with the response, "I'm sorry.

But when it comes to cars, I don't even see the word "me" in the word "hassle"...Wash your car carefully on hot summer days and cold winter days.He also puts on the body cover properly, and he has ordered every magazine about his car he can find, and reads them so many times that they have holes in them.

I said, "You're such a pain in the ass..."

Of course! I'm not doing this for a job! I'm serious!"

And then he returns with a line that sounds like a Tamori quote.

(iii) Increased memory when it comes to cars.

My husband is not very good at remembering people's faces, and he often has difficulty in this regard in his work. However, when it comes to cars, he can instantly tell what model the car is, even from a distance.

Even models that, to me, look exactly the same.He is able to distinguish the smallest differences and has a very good memory for information about the car.

I think it's much easier to recognize a person's face than a car's, but as for my husband, it seems the opposite is true.

Car = not a hobby.

I, on the other hand, have nothing I can call a hobby, so I sometimes look at my husband in dismay, but at the same time I envy him.

I thought you were a car enthusiast. Cars are a common hobby for you and your wife, aren't they?"

You might say, "I don't think car = hobby" in my case.

Visiting Ashiu, buying myself a MT car and practicing, doing a lot of research about cars... it's all about "For this Porsche blogAnd if I may be so cool as to say, "Journalist coverageIt's a "feel-good" sensation.

Because I want to make this Porsche blog a better and higher quality blog."What does this mean?" What about this car?and delve into it and think about it, but on the other handI doubt I would have made it that far if I wasn't writing this blog.I think.

In the past, I have tried to dabble in snowboarding, golf, bass guitar (guitar), scuba diving, and anything else I was invited to do, but I got bored and quit soon after.

Also, in my personal life, I don't drink, I don't like the outdoors, I don't know anything about watches, bags, or fashion, I don't care about food, and I have no interest in interior design or DIY.

Huh...what an uninteresting person...(-_-)

So, when my husband and other car enthusiasts aroundThere are some things in life that you can get lost in, no matter what.To be honest, I envy him. However, by working hard to master the blog, I have learned something new about cars and Porsche, and my world has expanded, so I wonder if this is a good thing these days.

I envy people with passion. I'm invited to Ashiu and touring, but it's too much trouble.
I can't go at all, in fact, the GT3, which is 6 months old, has only 800km.
But, you know, I like cars. It's true.
I just can't be bothered to ride. I'm not a "rider" in the iron geek sense of the word.
Perhaps it's a different genre, I can't analyze it myself....
I'll have your husband analyze it.
    1. I like sports cars anyway (but I don't go to the track).
2, I'm too lazy to ride and wash the car, but I want to own it.
    3. Dislike customization (normal first)
    4. I don't know much about cars (I don't read magazines and I don't like to do research).
    5. I don't like event things because there are too many people.
    6. I love to buy cars. (I check car sensors every day and configure cars on manufacturers' websites.)
7, When deciding on specifications, the excitement from signing the contract to delivery of the car is at its peak, and when the car is delivered, I am thinking about the next car.
8, I have decided to purchase no more than two cars per year in order to restrain myself.
It's not much of a list, is it?
It doesn't seem to be Kurmania (laughs).

      Thank you for your comment.
And thank you for summarizing the features (laughs).

I asked my husband about it.
He said, "There are people who like to drive cars, and there are people who like to own cars.
I will analyze this area a bit and write about it in another article.

Thanks for providing the story! (LOL)

    Ha-ha-ha...
Is it about your husband or yourself on the way?
I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.
It's as if they are talking about themselves.
When I asked my wife about it, she thought exactly the same thing
    I think I'm doing a good job;

      Mr. Whooper.

      I see (laughs).
Well, it's really great to see all the men who are really fascinated by cars...
      I respect that (laughs).
