Porsche has announced a new Mantai kit for the 911 GT3 RS (992).
The kit is designed to further enhance the performance of the car on the track, and includes a wide range of improvements such as increased aerodynamic efficiency, suspension optimization, and enhanced braking performance.
The Manthey kit was developed in close cooperation between Porsche's Weissach Development Center and Manthey engineers. These components, which are specifically designed for circuit driving, will be available through Porsche Centers.
The price is 76,911 euros, although the product is not yet available in Japan.Approx. 12.3 million yenIt is a very expensive kit, starting at $3,000.
Over 1 ton of downforce at 285 km/h
The most striking feature of the Mantai kit is its greatly improved aerodynamic parts.
The front spoiler lip has been enlarged and carbon fiber reinforcement elements have been added. In addition, two dive planes have been installed on both sides of the front bumper to increase downforce on the front axle.
The rear window is replaced by a 25% lightweight carbon fiber panel to which a shark fin is attached. These fins, derived from the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 963, are intended to improve cornering stability and, in combination with the six additional roof fins, allow warm exhaust air from the front radiator to escape outward and introduce cool intake air to the rear under extreme driving conditions. This allows the introduction of cool intake air to the rear even under extreme driving conditions.
The split carbon fiber DRS wing elements, coupled with larger, redesigned end plates, increase downforce at the rear axle. In addition, a significantly enlarged rear diffuser also increases downforce without increasing aerodynamic drag.
By combining these aerodynamic parts,Downforce of more than 1,000 kg at speeds of 285 km/hThe new system is able to produce This allows for higher speeds in high and medium speed corners and maximum stability of the car.
Semi-active coil-over suspension
The spring rate of the semi-active coilover suspension was adjusted to cope with the increased downforce.Increased spring rates of 30% on front axle and 15% on rear axleis applied.
Four wheel sensors, three body acceleration sensors, and a newly developed control unit enable faster and more precise automatic damper adjustment than ever before. The new shock absorber has separate valves for the compression and rebound stages, which are controlled independently. This allows precise adjustment to changing driving and road conditions, maximizing stability on the circuit.
Depending on the driving mode (Normal, Sport, or Track), different parameter sets are available to modify the basic damper characteristics. In track mode, the basic setup can also be manually adjusted to personal preference using the rotary control on the steering wheel.
Racing brake pads optimized for circuit driving
The Mantai kit's brake components are tailored to the demands of circuit driving. Steel-coated brake lines provide a more direct pedal feel and quicker response time.
Optional racing brake pads are available for vehicles equipped with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). These pads have been specially developed for circuit use to improve response and control precision while suppressing the fade phenomenon.
TheseBrake pads feature consistent performance over a wide range of temperatures and very good wear resistance to both the pad itself and the discThat is.
A wide variety of accessories to enhance your individuality
For Porsche owners seeking more visual appeal, there are particularly sporty accessories available to customize the 911 GT3 RS. Carbon fiber luminous door sill guards with red and white Mantai logos, LED door projectors with white Mantai logos, and various colored decals on the carbon "aero disc" emphasize the 911 GT3 RS's distinctive character.
In addition, the car doors can be marked with the Mantai logo in neodymium, white, or black.
Towing eyes are also available for use on the circuit and can be mounted on the front or rear. Available in red, black, or yellow, they can be attached to either end using the appropriate screw holes.
Significantly improved performance on the circuit
Porsche's brand ambassador, Jorg Bergmeister, commented on the Manthey kit: "The Manthey kit is a very important part of the Porsche brand.
With the Mantra Kit, the 911 GT3 RS has greatly improved performance on the track. The improvement is especially noticeable in mid-speed corners. The car dives, pitches, and rolls even less, providing a more stable aerodynamic platform. As a result, the high downforce remains very constant under all driving conditions."
Nicolas Rader, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH, stated.
For two years, we have been working with Porsche engineers to develop a new Mantai kit for the 911 GT3 RS and have tested it for thousands of kilometers on various European circuits and the Nürburgring Nordschleife. According to our dataThe new 911 GT3 RS is expected to significantly improve lap times compared to the standard 911 GT3 RS.So far we have not been able to set an official lap time on the Nordschleife due to the weather, but we are definitely looking forward to achieving it next time."
The Mantai kit for the 911 GT3 RS is available for order now and will be available in EU markets from January 2025 and in non-EU markets from March 2025. In addition,The manufacturer's warranty for the 911 GT3 RS is not affected by the installation of this kit.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is already a 911 that takes circuit performance to the extreme, but with the introduction of this Mantai kit, that performance has been taken to another level. For Porsche drivers who enjoy circuit driving, this kit will be a major attraction. It is the perfect embodiment of Porsche's philosophy of applying pure motorsports technology to a car that can be driven on public roads.
