I ordered my car for the second time in my life, but due to the shortage of semiconductors, when will it be delivered?

Life with a manual transmission (MT) car
About two years ago, about two years ago, aI bought my first car (MT car) in my life. Before I met my husband, I had no interest in cars at all, so much so that they were not even in my field of vision, but I never imagined that the day would come when I would buy my own car.
And what's more, it's a MT car... wow.
Oh no, life really is what you never know what will happen.
I bought my own MT car two years ago becauseI wanted to be able to drive a MT car.".
2016.A MT Porsche Boxster GTS (981 type) comes to our house. So, my husband told me that he was going toYou must have the limited license removed before delivery of the car.He was told that he would be able to work in a day-care center with his eldest daughter, so he found time to go to a driving school and managed to have his limited driving privileges removed.
just from thereFor three years I never learned to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
That's because I was only able to go to MT driving practice about once every three months. Since the Boxster is a two-seater, I had to leave my children with someone to go practice with my husband.
."I wish I could ride one of them as often as possible. But when the car is a Porsche, and it is my husband's first Porsche, a car that he has a special attachment to, and it is a manual transmission car....
."If you ride alone and happen to hit it or cause an accident, you're in trouble.I could not go for solo practice with my driving skills at the time, because I felt that I was "too good".
It's just that at one point, "If I don't do this, I will never be able to drive a MT car for the rest of my life. Get yourself a MT car you can drive every day and practice! He decided to buy a BMW 320i about two weeks after he had the idea.
After delivery, make sure to ride the car every day.(The first day I was stalling all over the place, even putting the hazard on in the middle of the road.)Thanks to you, I can now drive a MT car, but I sold my 320i last summer when I had a baby.
From there, for a while, "AT cars are smart and easy to drive, I don't need MT cars anymore.I had thought that I wanted to buy a car with a manual transmission, but... a few months had passed since the birth of my child, and I was starting to feel more relaxed. After a few months since the birth of my child, I was feeling more comfortable and decided to purchase a manual transmission Boxster or GT3.
When will the car be delivered...
From there, a month and a half has passed. Under normal circumstances, the car should have been delivered by now.Due to the recent parts shortage, my MT car has not yet been delivered.
When you place an order, you can use the "Perhaps delivery will be delayed.'I was told by the person in charge that I had to go online regularly, so my husband looked me up on the Internet and
Some have already decided to produce the car, others have yet to decide, and still others say it took three months to deliver the car. It seems to vary from dealership to dealership, and it's all over the place..."
He would tell me each time, "I'm not a good person.
Then the other day, I got a call from the dealer. The contents were.
We are short of parts due to the shortage of semiconductors and have no timetable for production at all. We are sorry, but we are not yet able to give you any information regarding the timing of production or delivery of vehicles."
This was the case.
Probably, from the customer's side, "What's going on?I was thinking that the dealer might have contacted me...but just then, my husband came to me and said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
I heard that the factory will be shut down for a few days in June. The plant shutdown must mean that the supply of parts is not up to par. Many people probably didn't expect to have to wait so long, so I wonder if there are a lot of people canceling their new cars and going for used cars.
And.
When I buy something, it's pretty much guaranteed that it will be defective, or come in differently than I asked for, or not contain something...so my husband says, "I'm not going to buy anything.I ordered the body color red, but they produced it in blue by mistake! Or something like that.but I never thought the plant itself would shut down... (laughter)
When I ordered in April, I was told that theWell, if it's delayed, it will come in June or July, won't it?I was optimistic that the car would be delivered in the fall, but I wonder if it is possible that the car will be delivered in the fall.
I ordered a new car because I wanted to be a little particular about decals and such, and because the price did not differ greatly between used and new cars, but if that had not been the case, I think I might have cancelled the new car and bought a used car.
Still, it's a bit disconcerting to have no information about the car you've ordered and just have to wait. When my husband also bought a Boxster, he said, "Left-hand drive MT vehicleThe production quota was small to begin with, and it took about 10 months to deliver the car.
My husband said, "Not yet, not yet. When I hear that production has started, I watch the Porsche factory line over and over again on Youtube to get an idea of what it looks like, and when I hear that a ship has finally arrived, I check the location of that ship every step of the way.I can't wait any longer! Maybe I'll just go down to the port and get it myself!I can understand a little bit how my husband feels now.
And it would be even more so if it was the Porsche I had always dreamed of.
...and the key to theWhat car did you buy?I wrote that I would report on the "I'll blog about it when I take delivery of the car," and I plan to keep it for then, but I didn't expect it to be such a stretch.
Also, it's not a great car at all to stretch it that far (so(I shouldn't say that about myself, but...)I think that even if I report on the delivery of the car, the reader might just say, "Oh, really? I think that would be the end of it... (laughs)
Well, let me tell you first that it is not a Porsche, and I would like to wait patiently. We will keep you posted on the production and delivery schedule as soon as it is decided.

Hi Mina.
The shortage of semiconductors is affecting the whole world.
I am currently living in Michigan, USA, and the delivery of my leased car is behind schedule.
Hope you get your car delivered soon!
A MT car with decals that looks good and seats 5... my guess is a MINI!
I look forward to your answers!!! LOL!

Hello, thank you for your comment!
>I am currently living in Michigan, USA, and the delivery of my leased car is also behind schedule.
I see...! It really is a serious situation that is affecting the whole world...
I hope the car will be delivered soon, but I also hope that it will be delivered after the weather cools down a bit, because it is too hot to deliver a car in the middle of summer when the weather is this hot ^^;
Thank you for the forecast! I will report back to you on my blog.
Isn't it Mazda?
Per CX-30.
Personally, I'd like to see you drive one of those BMW M2's!
Mr. 981.
Thank you!
>Personally, I'd like to see you drive a BMW M2 or thereabouts!
I love the M2! I'm looking at the blue M2 and think it's really cool.
Thank you for the predictions!
I will keep you posted.
It seems to be the equivalent of a semiconductor shortage.
I ordered a Cayenne Coupe GTS at the end of February.
The car was delivered this month, just in time for the production quota at the end of April.
My friend's Macan GTS had a production window at the end of May.
The lack of semiconductors made it impossible to turn on the power seat.
They were delayed to October production if they were waiting for a power seat frame.
Takeshi.
Thank you!

Oh, yes!!!
It's quite widespread and affects many different car makers...
Cayenne Coupe GTS,very nice...!
Nice to meet you!
I'm looking forward to taking delivery of the car.
I ordered the M2 Competition MT in early April and it looks like it will be produced in late April and land in Japan around the beginning of July.
If it weren't for the Corona disaster, I would have gone to the port of Chiba to see it (laughs).
The semiconductors were not affected, but finally, the current M2 model will be discontinued this month.
Looking forward to seeing what Mina's car looks like!

I would be very happy to hear your thoughts and impressions again when you have completed the test drive, etc.
I hope to be able to report on my car soon, too!
