To what extent can the Porsche 911 GT3 be used on a daily basis?

(4) How much luggage can be loaded?
As for luggage, it can carry quite a bit, and although the GT3, unlike the regular 911 model, is a two-seater, without the roll cage, the back of the car would be "a lot more comfortable.Enough room for two children. There is ample space for about "1.
So there is still plenty of space to carry the supermarket purchases in the back seat.
You can haphazardly load outerwear, bags, etc. and still be fine.
When you want to put luggage in, you can raise the seat by adjusting the lever on the seat.(Not before falling over)It is quite easy to put in luggage.
The outer can be hung behind the seats, but there is more space behind it than in the two-seater Boxster, making it easier to hang.
Also, the capacity of the trunk is like this.
We have a body cover in our house, but an M-size suitcase can be loaded normally. Even if you buy groceries in bulk on weekends, you should have no trouble finding a place to load it.
However, he said that this trunk of the GT3 gets quite hot, so one should be careful with perishable food, spray cans, etc. when driving long distances. My husband said that the structure is designed to allow heat from the front radiator and other components to enter the car without mercy. Incidentally, he said that in the case of the Boxster, it never gets that hot, so it must be specific to the GT3.
(5) How about clutch operation?
The clutch on the GT3 (991.2) is light. Before I drove it, I thought "It's a race spec car, so the clutch looks heavy.I was thinking, "But it's a lot lighter than the clutch on my 981 Boxster GTS.Tired from daily use."I can't ride for long distances. There is no such thing as a "no" at all.
However, in my case, I have to be very careful when starting off on a hill. If I start off with a little pressure on the gas pedal in the same manner as the Boxster, the car sometimes stalls. I told my husband about this.
Yes, it is a little difficult. It's almost like a racing engine itself.Compared to the Boxster, the GT3 has less torque at very low rpm and a slightly higher gear ratio.I think. So, I think it's better to be a little puffed up.
Also, if it's a gentle enough hill that the hill hold doesn't apply, it's a good idea to apply the clutch lightly so you don't back off. This is the same with the Boxster. It's just thatThe engine response is so good that if you get careless and step on it too vigorously, you'll get into trouble.LOL
And. I have yet to get a feel for this area, so I think I need to practice more and get used to it. Racing engines....they are to be feared.
6) How about fuel efficiency?
The fuel consumption on this day was "29.9l/100km", or "29.9l/100km".3.3km/lIt was ". I've never seen fuel economy this bad (laughs).
If highway cruising were included, the fuel economy would probably be even better, but in this case, the car was used for a short distance in the city with many traffic lights and heavy traffic, so the fuel economy would inevitably be around this level.
Incidentally, even the Panamera Turbo would be "4 km/l" or so in a run like this.
howeverThe total fuel consumption from the time of delivery to now is "13l/100km (7.6km/l)", and according to my husband, the fuel consumption is getting better now than it was right after the car was delivered.Yes.
GT3, can it be used on a daily basis after all?
911GT3 Touring,.More daily use than I had imagined. That's my impression. If you just want to go shopping at the local supermarket, there is nothing to worry about.
But for me, the biggest sticking point with the 911 GT3 is.two people using the same (vehicle) (often two on a bike)That is to say. I usually have to take my second daughter to pick up my oldest daughter, so it has to be a car that seats at least 3 people!(There's no such thing as a three-seater, but w)
Also, I honestly don't want to put my children in the GT3 because they make the inside of the car dirty in any way. In fact, inside the Panamera, there is dirt underfoot and the leather seats are dirty.
So when I inevitably get on it on a regular basis, I'm not sure how I'm going to get on it.Use a BMW 320i that can fit 5 people, doesn't care about fuel economy, and can get a little dirty inside the car. This will be the case.
Well, it's no use when the kids are small.
These are about 911 GT3 Touring and daily use.

I just wanted to say out loud that it's not "bad manners," but that you can't park back there any longer..."
I'm not joking. I'm not talking about bad manners. If you can't park within the designated slot, don't park.
It's not your parking lot. You are making a mistake. Please think about how you are attracting other users.
Can be used on a daily basis.
However, I really feel that it is too good to use.
It is a special car after all.
It's hard to convey, but I'd like to show you a handbag made by a living national treasure craftsman who spent a lot of time and effort to make it.
Use it as an eco-bag for shopping at the supermarket.
I don't feel sorry for the people who made it, or whatever, if I use it that way.
That rigid body and the precision-machine-like engine should be used on special occasions.
I guess that's why I can't get on. It's a dilemma.

You are really right...
I could use it on a daily basis, but it would be a waste of money.
I've also gone shopping this time around to try to validate the GT3's everyday use.
It turns out that a race car can also be used for everyday purposes."
I'm going to use it actively in my daily life! I didn't feel like it was a good idea;
After all, it is a GT3, so I want to go driving on roads where I can demonstrate the true value of the GT3.
I drive a Mercedes Benz C-Class with the springs changed and lowered by about 2 cm. The reason is simply because I like this one better. Of course, it is within the range to pass the car inspection. At first, I was worried that the front might rub at convenience stores, but I had no problem. This is thanks to the fact that the height of the stomper has been lowered considerably at convenience stores these days.
We are one step closer to an environment where GT3 can be used on a daily basis, as we have made significant improvements in terms of parking space for one car and stopper height. If they can allow for a little deviation from the standard when opening a new store or building a new tower parking lot, we can use one car for various purposes without having to own multiple cars. A 911 can go anywhere without a front lifter. I hope this will be the case.
When I retire, I plan to buy a 911 and enjoy hot spring trips.

>I drive a Mercedes Benz C-Class with the springs changed and lowered by about 2 cm.
Oh that's so cool!
Convenience stores these days are made so that you don't have to be so nervous.
>We've made a lot of improvements to the parking space for one car and the height of the stoopers, so we're
Certainly, the newly built stores and other stores seem to have more parking space and are easier to get to than before.
Also, as you mentioned, I'd really like to see the tower parking lots be able to accommodate cars that aren't in the standard range.
It would give you a lot more options when parking.
>When I retire, I plan to buy a 911 and enjoy hot spring trips.
A trip to the hot springs with 911, very nice...!
In the end, will the 911 be the best vehicle for fun and everyday use?
Thank you for your continued support.
If I were to own a GT3, I would want to own it for running backslash.
I prefer a second car for the track and driving main. That's how much fun the engine is, and it's not too stiff-footed for everyday use.
Well, it's hard to find a pervert who owns only one GT3 as his main car.
For everyday use, I feel that Turbo S is fine without having to use GT3.
The 911 Carrera 4S was very good.
This looked good for everyday use!
Mr. Granca.
As you say, GT3 is a car for running ^^;
I can use it in daily life, but I don't think I need to.
It was a waste of money, and as you said, the legs were stiff and sooty. I thought that if I am going to drive a GT3, I would like to drive on roads where I can show off the power of the GT3.
>I feel that for everyday use, you don't need to use GT3, just Turbo S.
My husband said the other day, "I want a Turbo S!!!" (laugh).
911 Carrera 4S, looks really good !!!!
That made me think that GT3s and such are still racing cars.
Memories of the past
When I was in middle and high school, I was always overhanging the frame in the underground parking lot of my apartment building.
There was a large, large Mercedes Benz sedan parked in the lot.
It was white with black paint on the back seat, and the inside was not visible at all, making it look very upscale.
It was parked in a position that slightly covered the switching of our parking space.
One day, our father finally hit a Mercedes Benz while parking his car in the garage.
I got a good amount of scratches on the face of the Mercedes Benz.
When I came home and asked my father what was wrong, he turned blue, troubled and silent.
I was afraid to tell the truth about what had happened. I had to go and apologize honestly.
It was already midnight.
The next day, at the normal time of day, the father-dono was ready and tried to ping-pong.
First, an elderly woman came out and told me what had happened.
A dignified man came out of the back and we decided to go see the car.
The man asked my dad, "Which is your car?"
Fearful, he pointed to his own battered domestic car.
He asked me anxiously, "Are you going to repair it?" to which I replied, "It's not a serious damage, so I won't repair it.
Let me repair your Mercedes Benz using your car insurance." I replied.
The man said, "No, no, no, you shouldn't be fastening it outside the frame.
I am always sorry for the inconvenience." He apologized and praised me for my courage in making an honest offer.
He returned to his room, saying he would fix it himself and not to worry about it.
Then, when we passed each other in the lobby of the apartment building, etc., he would smile and bail me out.
I realized that this is what real affordability means.
I think that the most important thing for daily use of a luxury car is to have this kind of luxury.
If having a luxury car makes you nervous about small scratches and dirt, it would be a real downfall, wouldn't it?
I would like to acquire an overwhelming sense of affordability by using luxury cars on a daily basis.
Mr. Buppa.
Thank you for everything!
That Mercedes-Benz owner is too cool...
A very gentleman...
I am sure that you are in a good position to do so.
I wish I could be as generous and open-minded...!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful story.
I think that the perception that the GT3 is a pure sports car and that it is bad for its creator if it is not used on the track, or that it is an expensive car and therefore not suitable for everyday use, is very misguided.
Because it is up to the owner to decide how to utilize the car (taking into account its impact on others, balance, etc.), and some people are not interested in the mileage or resale value in the first place, but just want to drive it as much as they want because it is not worth decorating (I am one of them).
I perceive Porsche itself as a casual, or rather, a brand that doesn't have many occasions of use (more so than Ferrari or Lamborghini, and in the opposite sense, more so than rag-tag light cars).
In that sense, I don't see much difference between Poxter, Macan and GT3.
I'm sure it's a regional thing, but I recognize that a Porsche doesn't float at all in situations as simple as going to work, convenience stores, department stores, or high-end supermarkets.
However, as with forward-facing parking, I would try to park as beautifully as possible for all to see.
I'll give you the technology to get off the car as many times as necessary to make sure you can stop just in time.
It's a pride to be more conscious than others about everything, like driving in a clean trajectory or adjusting speed, because of the awareness of being in a good car (and also not to be licked).

Indeed, you are right.
The Porsche can be used on a daily basis, can be driven on the track, and my husband even uses his GT3 as a regular commuter.
The idea is that you have to ride hard.
It's not like a supercar that floats around wherever you drive it.
I also thought what kuma said about "pride in wanting to be more conscious than others in everything" was wonderful.
I also reminded myself that I would like to drive in a way that is worthy of a Porsche.
I'm often on the move with my two kids.
In that sense, I can't use it in a normal way, and after all, I'm still nervous when I drive GT3.
I tend to drive BMWs and other vehicles that I feel comfortable driving... ^^..;
When the kids are out of the way, I'm going to get in my Porsche.
I would like to visit various places freely by myself...that is one of my current dreams.
Thank you for your continued support.
I agree with kuma.
The Porsche GT series, whether RS or RS, is designed and sold to be driven on public roads, not exclusively on race tracks. I think the main purpose of the article is to see if it can be used on a daily basis as you worry before purchasing, but as you have shown many actual examples, it is possible for the most part. The overall length is less than 4.6 meters. Even if you park with the rear bumper on a wheel stop, it is not uncommon for cars to be over 5m long on both sides, so is it that much? I'm not sure. The photo in the article shows a somewhat over-cautious parking on purpose. If there was a little more gradient when entering the hill, the front lip would be scraped. Forward-facing parking is strictly prohibited because it is apt to cause misfortune from other than an aesthetic point of view, but I still think it can be driven freely in everyday driving.
But my wife won't ride with me because of comfort issues. My kids are happy to ride, sleep, read cartoons, etc. Thank you very much for this informative and interesting article.
HeartOfGlass.
As I write this article, I am thinking that I would like to become a Porsche driver who can use the GT3 on a daily basis.
I also thought of you as I read your comment.
I'm still nervous and fearful in many areas.
I am sure that as I ride it, it will become familiar to my hands and become my partner...
(In my case, that seems to be a ways off)
>My wife won't ride with me because of comfort issues.
I understand... ^^;I, too, enjoy driving as much as I enjoy driving, which is fine.
I think this ride is a bit tough for the passenger seat.
It is difficult unless you are a big car enthusiast.
Thank you for everything.
Thank you for your continued support.
