Porsche 911GT3, one year inspection
The other day, my husband was in the middle of aThe 911 GT3 was being sent to the dealer for its one-year service. The GT3 was delivered last May, but he decided to take it in for inspection a little earlier because he had to run the circuit and change the oil at the end of the year.
I was able to borrow a 718 Cayman as a dolly while the GT3 was out for inspection.I will post my impressions of that test drive in a later article, as it looks like I was able to go shopping and my husband was able to drive a bit in Ashiari and other areas.
As for the one-year inspection of the GT3, I brought it to the dealer in the morning and it was completed in the evening. There seemed to be no particular problems. Good, good, good.
By the way.The mileage from delivery to the present is 7630 km.In the beginning, my husband used to use GT3 to commute to work.Note e-POWER NISMO Scame along, I almost never use GT3 for commuting anymore.
As for touring with the GT3, I went to Shikoku for break-in, then drove to Fuji Speedway and back, drove the Suzuka Circuit, and went touring in Wakayama, Awaji, Sanda, etc., and it took me about a year to reach this level of mileage.
GT3, one year inspection fee
So, the cost and details of this inspection are as follows.
12-month legal periodic inspection Basic labor charge
Engine oil change (6.4L)
SEALING RING
Oil filter change
Front wiper blades are in good condition and have not been replaced.
Remaining brake pads F:12.0mm R:12.0mm
Remaining tire groove F: 5.0mm R: 5.0mm
Total (including labor and parts): 87,683 yen
When it comes to GT3 inspections, "I wonder if the price would be as high as several hundred thousand yen at one time.I had thought that the "I" in "I" was a bit of an exaggeration, but it seems that this is the extent of the problem, especially if there are no problems.(Incidentally, the GT2, GT3, GT4, etc. are not included in Porsche Scheduled Maintenance, which is a flat-rate prepaid maintenance fee.)
And the thing that surprised my husband the most during this inspection was the PCCB(Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes)The husband said that this was the fact that the brake pads had not been reduced at all in the On this, her husband said, the
PCCB is not decreasing as much as people say it is.After about 7600 km, the dealer's maintenance man told me that theIt's in almost new condition, the disc is clean and totally fine.I did that.
I think this is great, even though I also drive on circuits in this GT3 and I brake hard when I drive briskly on winding roads.
In the pastAlso added later to the article about PCCBI looked at the PCCB of a person who had driven his 991.1 GT3RS for 25,000 km mainly on the circuit, and it was surprisingly clean and had not been worn down. I knew it was wrong to say that PCCB is not durable in general.Maybe it depends on how you drive and the track characteristics of the circuit.Na.
He said.
I had seen more information about PCCB maintenance online that was not good, but in reality, not so much.(Sometimes)I wonder if it is true. You can't understand anything until you actually experience it for yourself.
Now that I can open up a little more to the Boxster, I think I'll enjoy riding the GT3 more than before. I'd like to drive it again on a nice day.

MIna.
I am not sure whether to retrofit a PCCB on my 981 box spa, so I was encouraged by this article on PCCBs.
(Though I can't make a decision right away ...)
Mr. Ishi.
Thank you!
I am glad to hear you say so!
My husband was also mumbling, "I'm thinking of adding a PCCB to my Boxster... but it's so expensive..." (laughs).
Beginning.
I was searching for information on PCCB and came across your blog.
I was wondering about the PCCB as the only option for the Cayman GT4, which is finally going into production.
Very helpful.
There was a lot of information flying around about early models cracking, or no, the current ones don't, etc.
One of the people I know who currently has it on doesn't care about such things at all, and the other hardly ever runs, and has only 4,000 km on it, so ・・・・
I hope to look in on it often in the future.

Nice to meet you, and thank you for visiting my blog!
>I was wondering about the PCCB as the only option for the Cayman GT4, which is finally about to go into production.
>Thank you very much for your help.
Oh yes, GT4! I'm glad I could be of some help.
Thank you for your continued support.
I always enjoy looking at your site. My mileage was almost 10,000 kilometers last weekend, and I believe it will be around 13,000 kilometers at the end of May for its one year service. I will keep you informed of the maintenance I have done as well, I drive over 500 km at a time, and sometimes I don't move it for 2 months when I don't ride it. Twice now I have had an alarm for abnormal tire pressure, but the result was that the air was only out of the tires by more than 0.3. Other than that, I am very satisfied. Thank you for your continued support.
Mr. GT3 Touring Package with almost the same specifications
Thank you for visiting my blog!
I am glad to hear that you have spent a year with GT3 without any major problems.
So you're totally fine without moving it for two months!
I have not driven GT3 recently and would like to do so again.
Thank you for your continued support.
This is my first time commenting, and I always look forward to your updates.
I switched from a 718 Cayman to a 718 Spyder, and I feel that this blog is one of the reasons I stepped out on the GT model, because the information was so accessible.
I don't see it on the one year inspection statement, but did you change the oil in the transmission at the initial inspection? If you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you two could share your thoughts on the maintenance around the oil, it would be helpful!
Best regards.
Rintaro.

Oh yes!!! Congratulations!!!
I haven't seen you around town yet, but I see you've already taken delivery of the car!
>I don't see it on the one-year inspection statement, but did you change the oil in the transmission at the time of the initial inspection?
They haven't changed the transmission oil yet, because
He said that he was making his decision according to the official GT3 handling manual (which can be downloaded from the Internet) published by Porsche.
(My husband always seems to follow it by looking at the instruction manual)
But as for engine oil, there is a lot of stop-and-go in Japan.
He said he tried to change it sooner.
I will write more about that in an article.
Thank you!
