Porsche Cayenne Car Wash|Can the Cayenne fit in a car wash?

Cayenne car wash
The body color of our Cayenne is white, and it had been getting quite dirty since last December. So my husband tried to wash it once.
The Cayenne is so big that I can't reach the middle of the roof. It's hard to wash it properly by myself. Maybe I should order a hand wash.
This was the case.
However, something was going on at the end of the year, and I couldn't find time to go to the car wash, so I spent many days driving the Cayenne around with the car still sloppy and dirty.
But the Cayenne, even when it is dirty, somehow looks good...it gives off an atmosphere as if it had been driven on a snowy or sleet road.I'm sure this is fine as well, because it feels like it's running hard.I had been thinking, "What is it that I want to do?(That's a total cop-out.)
Then, at the end of the year, my husband washed the Cayenne while he was driving it. My husband washed the Cayenne while he was driving it, and when I asked him about it, he said that he had put it in an automatic car wash.
."Wow, can you get into an automatic car wash or something! You don't get scratched or anything! My husband was surprised when I said, "I'm not surprised.
I did some research beforehand on the width and height of cars that would fit in the automatic car wash. Many car washes are 2.3 m wideIt seems to be. I wasn't sure if that was the width to the mirrors or the width of the body car.Cayenne's width is 1985mm, so I think I can manage.I thought I'd give it a try.
However.Although there was a margin of about 30 cm in width, the tires did not fit into the yellow frame line drawn on the ground at all. That frame is no more than 2.3m wide, isn't it?
At any rate, I stop, even though my passenger side tire is well out of alignment with the yellow border line on the driver's side. It's so scary to pick a course and watch the carwash gate get closer. The gate of the car wash is already too small and it feels like a Cayenne going in with a flat tire.
Maybe. If you're really about to hit a bump, the safety system should stop you.I was praying and waiting (laughs).
Watching from the driver's seat, I was afraid to look at the gate because it was so close that I thought I might rub the mirror on the passenger side, even though the mirror was folded.
He said.
My husband took some pictures of it, and it's quite powerful and scary when you look at it like this...!
But as for the wheels, it seems that the car wash machine didn't clean them as well as it should have.
I still have to wash the wheels myself.I tried the course that focused on washing the wheels, but it didn't clean them at all. I tried the course that focused on washing the wheels, but it didn't clean them at all, in fact, they became dirty with sparse marks from the brush.
This would be good because I would leave the car wash for the regular course and wash the wheels myself.
Or rather.Maybe it would be better to use a no-brush car wash and use water pressure to clean the car.Maybe. Maybe I should try that one next time.
This was the case.

Later, after playing in the snow a lot with the Cayenne, I came home and looked at the car and was surprised to see how dirty it was...
Since the Cayenne is an SUV, the dirtier it is, the more it looks like it has been off-roaded, but it is indeed too dirty, so afterwards it went straight to the automatic car wash.
My husband once told me that he was "The car was really just barely wide enough.I thought I was going to experience that too since you said "I was really on the edge of my seat," but I was really on the edge of my seat. w
I wonder how you all wash your large SUV's. Do you order a hand wash every time? There is an automatic no-brush car wash a short drive from my house, so I think I'll go there next time when it gets very dirty.

I drive a Range Rover Sport, which is similar in size to the Cayenne.
It is very difficult for me to wash my car by myself, so I ask for a "machine + wipe" at my favorite gas station.
I am satisfied that the dirt on the wheels can be removed with a "wipe down".
The machine at the stand here is a brush, but as of now, shortly 2 years after delivery, there are no scratches to be concerned about (maybe because of the light color). However, the effectiveness of the coating (the lowest level requested by the dealer) seems to be clearly diminishing, and if you want to expect the gloss & water-shedding that only a coating can provide, I guess you would have to choose hand washing.
Also, as for my own feeling, although I am not worried about scratches in the non-brush car wash, I feel that it is not as good as it could be in terms of dirt removal (only the surface of the wheel is removed).
Mr. Range Rover Sport
Thank you for your valuable information!
Indeed, it looks like the dirt on the wheels will be hard to remove without wiping it off...
And considering the coating, it still sounds like hand washing the car is the way to go!
Non-brush car wash, I've never experienced one before.
I will take this opportunity to go there once.
Thank you!
Washing a big car! It's hard work, isn't it?
I used to hand wash my car at the gas station when it was a BMW, but after the Cayenne, it was a hand wash by KeeperLab.
But since the Corona disaster from last year, I have been washing it myself (laughs).
Good in the summer, but hard this time of year!
Thank you to the person who washes my car.
Mr. Wind Slope.
Thank you for everything!
It's really hard to wash a big car, and your clothes are going to get soaked...!
>But since the Corona disaster from last year, I've been washing it myself (lol).
Oh great...!
I think it is really hard to wash the car by yourself in summer and winter, I respect that...!
I'm sure it's hand washed so it must be in very clean condition... I'll learn from you!
Cayenne Turbo, always a no-brush car wash in the northwest. It's a place where they wash only with water pressure. And it's cold, so I leave it on the w
It is very close, and after washing, I have to go through the mirror closed and go forward to get out, which is a bit of a hazard, but I have never hit it.
The previous Cayenne Turbo had a lot of trouble with water getting into the headlight covers...I'm wondering if this is the cause...but I'm going back to the same place because the coating won't come off and it's cheap and clean...w

Thank you!
>It is always a no-brush car wash in the northwest.
Ooh - I was thinking of going there too! (I only know of one place close by...)
It's always pretty crowded with cars being washed.
The best thing is that it's cheap and clean.
I'll try to go once! But I'm nervous just imagining if I can get out without guessing... (laughs)
My Macan Turbo is always hand washed!
I've never been in a mechanical type of stand because I'm scared, but now that Cayenne can get in, I might be able to go without worry lol.
Usually, I wash my car at Maya Car Pikaland in Kobe with a high-pressure jet wash (300 yen for a water wash).
After washing with water, when washing by hand, I get on a stepladder and use a sponge with a handle to polish the upper part of the car body.
However, washing an SUV is a pain in the ass, so I tell myself it needs to get dirty lol.
Yoshikichi.
Thank you for your comment!
I see you wash your car by hand! But that's the best way to be sure.
I see, a sponge with a handle can reach the top of the car body!
However, as you said, SUVs kind of feel like they run better when they're dirty.
It seems to suit you (as I tell you) ^^^;
I always enjoy looking at your site.
I am a "hand wash at home" person. I don't mind washing my car, but SUVs require a lot of energy. My car will be on the larger side, not as big as a Cayenne, so I am always prepared to do it.
If the car is too dirty and I don't have time, I use a no-brush car wash. I wash the car on the way home from work and drive 30 minutes on the highway. The car is pretty clean when I get home.
Hiro3008.
I see you hand wash them at home! That's amazing!
As you say, with a large car, it takes a lot of energy.
Especially this time of year it's very cold and...

That's soooo nice! You blow off the water on the highway and by the time you get there, it's blown up beautifully (lol).
Everyone washes their cars in their own creative ways, and it's a learning experience!
Hello.
I, too, tend to wash my Range Rover in a no-brush wash in Nishinomiya. Before I go into it, I lightly wash the wheels and other minor dirt around the bumpers myself. Or rather, the other cars are basically there too.
I use a no-brush car wash anyway, but as others have said, if it is that dirty, it is hard to remove even with high pressure.
But on the other hand, if it is not dirty, there is no problem with it.
I wash most of my cars once a week, so I basically try not to get badly dirty. So I use a no-brush car wash.
Every time I go to the car wash there with the range, I am told every time that I can't fit in there, but every time I reply in the opposite direction, "I've done it here many times, so it's fine. I think the Cayenne will fit in there too.
Unlike a car wash with a brush, most no-brush car washes are very good at drying, or at blowing off the water, for some reason, so if I'm having a hard time, I leave without even blowing up the car.

Thank you for everything!
>As others have said, if the car is very dirty, it is difficult to remove even with high pressure. But on the other hand, if the car is not so dirty, there is no problem with this.
I see... if you clean it regularly before it gets dirty to the point of slop, a no-brush wash will work perfectly fine!
Pretty nice that you're so good at skipping water! I'll try to make it there one of these days!
