The perfect Carrera T.
The other day, my husband went to Ashiari in his Carrera T (MT) and he and his wife alwaysTAKURO, a Porsche ownerto drive the Carrera T for us,
Mr. TAKURO, you are very impressed,It's a perfect issue! I want one!" "Hey, can I have another one? This is the Porsche I want most right now!I've heard great praise for it, so if you'd like to hear more about what I think of it, I'd be happy to give you more details.
And my husband reported back to me laughing when he got home (laughter).
Me too,I am very happy with the ride quality and driving performance, which has been changing rapidly since the delivery of the car,I was very happy to hear Mr. TAKURO say that.
So later, Mr. TAKURO sent us his impressions (in great detail... thank you very much!). ) I hope to introduce it in this blog.
By the way, there is no fakery in the content here (...or rather, it's a personal blog to begin with, so there's no need for anyone to make a discovery). How did the owner, who owns a 981 Boxster GTS and a 964C2 Porsche and loves to drive, feel about driving a 992 Carrera T?"I would appreciate it if you could read this as a pure impression.
Impressions of the Carrera T from Porsche owners
Ride comfort and suspension
First of all, I found the ride to be more comfortable and pleasant than I had imagined, although I had an impression that the ride quality of the 992's sport suspension was quite stiff,This will not make your butt sore or tired even if you go far or long touring!I thought.
I think it is partly due to the thickness of the seat cushions. (This Carrera T has the Sport Plus electric 18-way seat).
As for the suspension, there was no discomfort at all on the Ashiari road surface (some surfaces are quite bumpy). Even at low speeds, the suspension did not feel that stiff,Although there were times when the road surface felt a little wobbly due to the undulation, as the speed increased, the stability of the vehicle increased.
It was also very good for me to be able to field back the road surface conditions to the steering wheel.
Steering and shift operation
As for the steering wheel, it was so light that at first I wondered if it had Power Steering Plus. I thought the steering wheel was so light and easy to operate that I felt it had power steering plus. I think it is quite easy to operate even in town use.
andThe rear axle steering was felt to be very effective and(The Carrera T can be equipped with optional rear axle steering, which is normally only available for the S and above.) I was surprised that the car turned like it was being sucked in from the middle of a corner, and turned like it was being sucked to the inside.
It was very fun on the winding roads. It made me want to go touring.
The rear is also very stable, allowing for safe cornering at high speeds.
The shift feel of the manual is short shift and crisp. The feel of this car is also to my liking, and above all, shifting is a pleasure. The auto-blipping is also excellent, and I found myself wanting to shift gears unnecessarily.
The clutch operation feels lighter than expected,It would be easy to travel for long periods of time and encounter traffic jams...It was very easy to drive with an almost AT-like feel.
Lightness of car weight, sound, etc.
Overall, the weight of the car felt light. The husband and I looked into it and saw,The battery was a lithium-ion battery. The car was lightweight, and I was tempted to step on the gas pedal.
The exhaust sound was also quite good. The volume when the engine is started is quite powerful. It felt quiet when it started running, but it was just right for me, and I liked the sound of the 992, which was like the sound of an air-cooled engine. When set to sport mode, the elegant bubbling without overdoing it will lift your spirits.
Other, general comments
The rest is a matter of taste, but for me, the left-hand steering wheel position felt more comfortable and easy to control, and I felt it suited my body. The 992 has a high degree of perfection, and I have the impression that it has cyborg-like speed, but there is also the enjoyment of manual operation, the rear axle steering, and the effect of weight reduction,It was so much fun and a flawless machine that I couldn't find any flaws.
It's been a while since I've been so excited to see "Oh, I wish I could ride it again!I still think it's a great idea (laughs).
I feel again that it must have been quite good because I don't often feel this way.
992 Carrera T, the all mighty best Porsche for daily use, long touring and for the track. The body color, interior, and parts are all monotone, which is great!
2023 Carrera T without GPF.
Once again, I would like to reiterate to Mr. TAKURO thatPlease write it in a crazy good way!I didn't say anything like that (laughs).
if you need to knowIt would be a lie if I were to give you such high praise, so I would rather say, "Is there anything you don't like about this place?I even asked him about it (he said, "No, I don't have it, it's a perfect issue...").
Perhaps for those who like the old air-cooled Porsches, or those who like the weight of the clutch and the direct feel of driving with human hands, I am sure it will not be enough (it is too well made), but at least for someone like me.There's no 911 that's so much fun and can be run anywhere. It's so much fun, comfortable, and a great companion.
Also, and this is a side note, my husband just took a picture of the Carrera T's undercarriage and said, "It looks like it doesn't have GPF...And. My husband is going to do a lot of research to find out which model has GPF on it (is it the year, the grade...?). My husband is going to do a lot of research to find out.
First 992 Carrera T (MY2023), second 992 Carrera Cabriolet (MY2020).
Bottom line, as far as I can see, I don't think the Carrera T has a GPF. By the way, the part numbers for both of these catalysts are 992 131 703. pic.twitter.com/eDQfQMjk98- Hiro@Porsche came to my house (@boxster_gts) June 17, 2023
Anyway, I would love to hear from other owners who have driven the Carrera T and hear their various impressions. Before that, I have to finish breaking in the car (900km at last).
Thank you very much, TAKURO! We hope you will ride with us again!

Hello.
If there is a GPF, there is no L-shaped pipe. If you have a GPF, there is no L-pipe. You can also ask the PC to check the parts by the VIN number.

Thank you for the information!
I always enjoy looking at your site.
My 992GTS MT now has 6,000 km on it, and the tires and suspension are getting used to the car, and the transmission is synchronizing with the way I use the car, so the ride is much milder and more fluid than when I first bought it.
I look forward to future reports on the changes to the Carrera T!
bamboo flour
Thank you!
Oh yes, 6000km...!
I want to run 6000km soon too...!
The feeling that the car is changing and becoming more and more comfortable in your hands,
I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun, with more of a partner feel...
I'm really looking forward to it now!
Thank you for your continued support!
Good evening!
Every time a blog comes up about Carrera T reviews, mileage acclimation, etc., I read it like it's my Porsche.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how a Porsche from a clean slate will turn into 1 or 2, and then into mina-san's numbers!
high praise
Thank you!
I am very happy ^^^.
Every day I realize that a Porsche is a car that you grow by yourself.
Finally, we will soon reach 1,000 km, but we have not yet reached the end of the break-in period, so we will continue to drive a lot.
Please do!
Mina.
I am in the same boat as before! I am Tobi and I have commented on this before.
I drove the Carrera 4GTS 800km round trip to Awaji Island the other day, and about 180km on mountain roads in the Chubu region, where I usually drive my motorcycle around, and I have to say that Porsche is great! Long touring is easy, and the fun of driving on winding roads is as good as driving a motorcycle!
My wife is pressuring me to sell the bike, but it's nice that it's light and MT as the article says!
I enjoy the lightness and MT fun of a motorcycle and the fun of a car as an exquisite machine, but the problem is that I have leisure time to enjoy them both to the fullest.
But I don't want to give up my current bike, because I've been riding it for more than 10 years now and I'm comfortable with it.
I am enjoying reading Mina's thoughts and articles, as I would like to make my Porsche a comfortable partner for my body by savoring it while also riding my motorcycle.
I'm afraid that if I go on like this, I'll end up driving more light, MT Porsches instead of selling the bike, but I look forward to your continued thoughts on the Carrera T!
Tobi.
Thank you!
Carrera 4GTS looks so nice!
My husband, too, because both motorcycles and cars have their own joys,
He says it's hard to let go (laughs).
>I'm afraid that if I keep going this way, I'll end up driving more light, MT Porsches instead of selling the bike, but I look forward to your continued thoughts on the Carrera T!
I thought, "It's possible...! I thought, "That's possible...!
There are too many fun cars in the world (laughs).
Hello Mina and Hiro. I always enjoy seeing your work.
Crayon's Carrera T looks really cool! It looks like it's coming along nicely and I can't wait to see the end of the break-in period.
I have previously asked about coatings and car washes and have just taken delivery of a Crayon Macan S with ProKeeper.
We decided to go in the direction of doing a relatively inexpensive fresh-keeper every year to maintain the cleanliness as much as possible.
And maybe once every 6 months, I would like to do a mineral-off car wash. I am thinking about it.
Thank you very much for all the information you provided on that occasion.
This is my first foreign car, so there are a lot of things I'm not used to, but I can't wait to be like Mina and Hiro,
I'll try to drive it like my own limbs, and I'll take it in my stride.
By the way, does my AT car also have a powerful sound as the mileage increases?
Mr. S. Ashiya
Thank you for visiting my blog!
>I have previously asked about coatings and car washes, and have just taken delivery of a Crayon Macan S with ProKeeper.
Oh yes!
It's so exciting when it becomes shiny and glossy!
The glossiness of crayons is really beautiful, isn't it?
>By the way, will my AT car also have a powerful sound as the mileage increases?
It may or may not have sports exhaust, GPF, etc,
But I am sure that the sound will become louder and more powerful as I ride it.
I, too, will do my best to break in!
