I knew nothing about Porsche until now - what I learned from Porsche's driving school

My Family's Car Life

Porsche Truck Experience Recap

The following is a summary of my impressions from attending the Porsche Truck Experience (PTE) Presicion.

1. I didn't know Porsche yet.

Even though I drive a Porsche every day," he said.I still didn't know about Porsche.I was painfully aware of this. Modern Porsches are easier to drive, and even someone like me can enjoy driving them in their own way.

So every time I drive, I think, "Nice car.I was able to feel that "I'm a Porsche, but I'm not a Porsche. It's a car with unfathomable performance that I can't even begin to imagine.I felt this firsthand.

It was a car with handling, acceleration, suspension, stability, and many other aspects. I learned that this is a car that can go much, much further than I had expected, dozens of times more than I had expected.

Whether or not you can pull that off is up for grabs. It is completely up to the driver.

If I have the opportunity to drive a Porsche with such great performance, I want to hone my driving skills so that I can get the best possible performance out of it. If you say you won't do that, then "I don't dare drive a high performance Porsche. Why don't you just drive another car?I even began to think, "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do now.

2. Better driving

I was taught driving position, steering wheel position, how to hold the steering wheel, load shifting, pushing the steering wheel when turning a corner... I was amazed at how dramatically my driving improved just by being aware of these things. My husband often

Tennis, golf, and other sports always have a basic form. Driving is the same. The first thing to do is to make sure that the basic form is firmly ingrained in your body.If you don't get the basics right, you won't be able to drive well."

but it made sense to me.

Of course, everyday driving is not a motor sport, and if you drive a car simply for transportation purposes, you may not need to think that much. ButIf you're going to drive a Porsche... if you're going to drive in a car that is considered the pinnacle of sports cars...I thought, "I would probably enjoy it more if I got the basics right!

On the way home from Shirahama, I drove with an awareness of what I had learned. I held the steering wheel relaxed, and when going around a curve, I fixed my back on the seat and pushed the steering wheel. ThenThe driving was so smooth that it did not feel like my own driving, and it was very easy from start to finish without any extra effort on my part.

3. Car-friendly driving.

My husband used to say, "Tire grooves are not worn at all for the mileage.I have written in a previous article that I was surprised by the dealer's maintenance person who said, "I've never seen a PTE before," and after receiving the PTE this time, I thought, "I see.

When you want to drive fast, you need to drive smoothly and without straining the car. Instructors often say, "The accelerator is more smooth and gradual. You said, "When you do these kinds of runs.Driving with less stress on tires, gas pedal, and brakes, which is ultimately kinder to the car and makes your car last longer. This would lead to the following.

As with anything, forcing is not good. The natural form is what will work in the end.

4. Realizing that the hobby is only possible with the cooperation of family members

This time around, it's the opposite of what it usually is.My husband took care of our daughters the whole time, which allowed me to participate in the program. In our family, the children are still small, so the "children problem" follows us everywhere we go.

As a mother who realizes this on a daily basis, I have been working on the "I had the opportunity to participate in a full-day program by myself, away from the children.was a very valuable and gratifying time.(Although, I was wondering if the bathroom was okay... and if I peed my pants or something... and all that.)

In addition, "They allowed me to participate this time in my husband's first Porsche, the precious Boxster GTS.I'm also thankful for the "I'm not a good driver" thing. Despite the risk that my wife, who is still a terrible driver, might possibly break the clutch or hit somewhere, "Take the Boxster and go!Thank you so much for saying that.

It was also a day that made me realize that it is only with the cooperation of my family that I can enjoy my hobby.

Porsche Truck Experience, come on!

If you are a Porsche owner and like Porsche, I would highly recommend that you take the Porsche Truck Experience (PTE) if you can.

Of course, you can enjoy a Porsche without having to learn to drive at a driving school.Nor do we want those who say, "I just want to run for fun and don't have to go that far" to be forced to take the course. Also, the cost is 137,500 yen(In this case Shirahama)and expensive.

However, the program itself was very interesting, and I realized that it was more than worth the money, as my driving changed immediately after taking the program, and I enjoyed driving the Porsche even more.I now understand why it sold out so quickly after the application process began.

I'm sure that if you buy a brand new purse or bag, you'll probably spend that much...so I think it would be a good idea to take that "for PTE this time" and take the course once. ...but I'm not sure I'm the one who wears UNIQLO all year round to say that... (explosion)

Next year I'm gonna give g-Force a shot!

It looks like you've taken another step into driving with PTE (laughs).

I also go to schools outside of PTE. Part of that is to increase my skill set and protect my family and my car in case of an emergency, but most of all I want to be a better driver.

If we can be aware of smooth driving that also leads to speed, not wasting brake pressure, turning the steering wheel slowly while considering the slip angle, not overlapping maneuvers, and minimizing the amount of maneuvering by anticipating the road ahead, we can drive gently with less 3-dimensional shaking and less anxiety for passengers! (No matter how carefully you drive, you can still drive a camel. (Although it is also important to have a good car that does not add or subtract anything unnecessary to the driver's operation, as many cars are jerky no matter how carefully you drive them.)

Since I started attending the school, my wife, who is a passenger, has been sleeping more frequently, but it has been a good training for me to be more conscious of gentle driving as a shofar driver.

      Mr. Tap.
I'm a little bit hooked (laughs).

      >Since I started attending the school, my wife, who is in the passenger seat, has been sleeping more frequently, but it has been a good training for me as a shofar driver to be more conscious of gentle driving.

      Oh, I see (laughs).
I think that means they are driving very comfortably.
I imagine that the moderate swaying and smoothness must be really comfortable like a lullaby (laugh).

Driving is a very deep thing.
I shall continue to devote myself to it!

I would be happy to learn more from you.
Thank you for your continued support.

    Dear Mina

    Thanks for your time.
I learned so much about PTE in Shirahama.
I was there the day before as a warm-up, and it was raining in the afternoon.
Slalom in the rain and avoiding danger from full braking. I learned a lot.
I personally think the change from a steady circle turn to a J-turn was very good this time.
During the lesson, the instructor said that professional drivers often use the phrase "pick up the grip," and it was worth it just to learn the importance of being aware of the load, feeling the grip of the tire, and steer gradually while taking the J-turn lesson. It was worth it. He also answered our questions about how to drive on roads with elevation differences such as Ashiyu and Mita Nurburgring, and how to practice on such roads. It's not often you get a chance like this (^_^)I'm glad I took part. How was the new model test ride experience? The instructor said that if I had to choose one, I would choose the 992S. I was also very impressed with the Carrera S. I would like to participate again next year.

    • Mina.Mina.

      Mr. Taklow.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
I see you joined in on the warm-up!

Slalom in the rain, emergency avoidance...wow, that would be a real learning experience.

      >They were also able to answer questions about how to drive on roads with elevation differences, such as Ashiyu and Mita Nuru, and how to practice there.
I see! I see - I should have asked those questions too...
The instructor was also very attentive in answering any questions I had, so I learned a lot from that interaction.

And as for the test drive of the new model, that was interesting!
Personally, I also found it interesting to see how different the Panamera GTS and the Panamera Turbo are.
The 992 was an awesome car too!

I would love to participate next year, too!

  3. 981 Cayman driver

We were in the same group at Nanki-Shirahama PTE.
It was fun to experience so many different elements, and to share them with all the participants!
And the professional driver was awesome!
He was truly a Porsche driver.

I had the same experience, and then I read this blog.
This is how it is spelled out with great sensitivity, ambition and gratitude.
I think it's the readability of this blog and its ability to make you want to read the next article again.
I really felt it. Your personality and curiosity ooze out of you.

After meeting you and your wife, I like this blog more.
I look forward to seeing more in the future.

    • Mina.Mina.

      Mr. 981 Cayman rider.

Thank you for the other day!
And thank you so much for taking so many wonderful pictures!
It was a great help to me to be able to use it on my blog...!

It is difficult to convey what I experienced there only in words.
      Thank you for saying so.

I've found Porsche owners to be a really nice bunch of people.
I am grateful for these encounters, and I am sure we will meet again somewhere else.
I would love to meet your grown children and
Thank you for your continued support ^^^!
