Dealer sent me the specs for the Porsche 911 Targa 4GTS - price, options, etc. that I'm interested in.

911 Targa
Porsche 911

I'm interested in the 911 Targa.

I recently became interested in a Targa and started doing some research. The current Targa is a...It is a near-perfect modern interpretation of the 911 Targa, which first appeared in 1965.Unlike the 911 Cabriolet, it has a semi-convertible body style. It is a very rare car model, and I have only seen a Targa driving normally in the city once.

Looking on used car sites, there are only a dozen or so Targas of the current model. I guess they are still rare.

Source: Porsche Japan official website "911 Targa 4 Models

The reason I'm interested in Targa is that I stopped by on a recent trip to Los Angeles. The Targa was parked on the circuit at the Porsche Experience Center LA.Because I saw the The dark blue targa looked so beautiful under the blue sky.

I don't know much about the Targa's driving... it's a four-wheel drive, so the driving will be more stable.(I'm a terrible driver, but I think I can handle it.)I thought this design was unusual, stylish and nice. A Targa with a red body color would be really cool!

I said to my husband, "Targa sounds great!"

Yes, that's right. I've been interested in the Targa for a while too. I haven't seen many Targa's on the road, and the design is beautiful. However, I have heard that the wind gets caught up in the car when the roof is open, and the roof doesn't open all the way.

He said.

The dealer gave me the specifications for the Targa...

One day, my husband received a call from the dealership for a one-year inspection of his Boxster and Panamera. At that time, my husband told Mr. H, the person in chargeTarga sounds great."I had a brief conversation with him.'Targa production quotas are much rarer than GT3, so it's pretty rare. However, we have a Targa GTS coming in just now, so we'll send you the specs!"They said... (laughter)

An email was sent shortly thereafter.

The Targa GTS hasSport Chrono Package, PASM, 20-inch wheels, sport exhaust systemis standard equipment. In addition, the "targa" logo on the rollover protection bar is stylishly finished in silky gloss black, just like the wheels. An overview is as follows.

911 Targa4 GTS

My husband showed me the documents. But if it's a Targa, I'd rather have a red or blue body color, like a sports car.How carefree I was...I was surprised when I saw the price.

Total Vehicle Value: (1)24,189,320 yen!(;P)))))

High!

That's not surprising, as the Targa 4GTS is expensive, costing 21,540,000 yen. In addition to that, the options are

option Price
Carrara White Metallic (exterior) 214,000 yen
LED headlights with PDLS 455,000 yen
Porsche Entry & Drive 199,000 yen
Park Assist 184,000 yen
Front Window Gray Tint 21,000 yen
Carbon Sport Design Door Mirrors 178,000 yen
power steering 48,000 yen
Adaptive cruise control 400,000 yen
Electric adaptive sport seats (front seats) 511,000 yen
Seat ventilation (front) 193,000 yen
Seat belt (Gars red) 80,000 yen
Option total 2,483,000 yen

You can buy a new POLO just for the cost of options..................................

911... can't decide.

My husband had this to say as he looked at these specifications.

If I buy a Targa, I don't want to drive it hard, I want to drive it leisurely. So, it doesn't have to be a GTS, and the stock model might be enough. And a 911 Cabriolet would be nice too! It's beautiful.
But I don't dare to buy a 911 now when the new 911 will be released this fall... If they offer a huge discount, but I guess Porsche doesn't offer that much... Well, even if I do buy one, it would be a shame to give up my current Boxster... or change it for a Panamera... I'm not willing to give up my current Boxster to buy a Panamera... but I'm not sure about that either..."

and, as usual911I want it, but I can't make up my mind.He was mumbling as he went into the (laughter).

I will keep an eye on the future information of Targa, including the new 911 model information.

I enjoy reading your Porsche blog every time!
I am a Porsche enthusiast who drives a 970 '12 Panamera S Hybrid in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan!
I used to own a 911 Targa with an '85 wire clutch, and I can't imagine how great the roll-in is!
I like the way it looks with the roof off and stopped.
Hair is blowing in the direction of the windshield and it is impossible to drive with a woman on the side.
I remembered that and wrote about it ^^.
Keep up the good work on your blog!
I think this is the best Porsche blog in Japan!

      >I am a Porsche enthusiast who drives a 970 '12 Panamera S Hybrid in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture!
Oh, that's so cool! I'm very interested in the Panamera Hybrid, as I haven't had a ride in one recently, nor have I driven one yet ^^.
And you live in a place where you can go to Fuji Speedway right away... I envy you (laughs).

      >I used to own a 911 Targa with an '85 wire clutch, and you can't imagine how much it rolled in!
Hair is blowing in the direction of the windshield and it is impossible to drive with a woman on the side.

      Oh, I see...(;)
No, that's a little bit more than just enjoying the drive... I don't think I can even have a good conversation (laughs).
Thank you for your valuable information!

    Hello!

I took delivery of my 911 GTS last month and I drive around every weekend laughing like a goofball (lol) Targa is nice - it's cool!

Actually, I miraculously found a TARGA in stock and bought it on impulse (laugh). But since it was ordered by the dealer, it was full of options that I didn't need (lol), such as adaptive, LED main and other options, totaling almost 4 million yen (I cried).
It was ordered from another store, but it was delivered immediately, so I guess it was just as well.

The Boxster currently on order is also a Crayon. It seems that many Boxster models are out of catalog in Japan. It is a nice color.

    • Mina.Mina.

      Rumba Rumba!

Wow, a little too much to get into, I don't know where to begin! LOL!

So you took delivery of a 911 GTS! I love the GTS!

      >Actually, I miraculously found a Targa in stock and bought it on impulse (lol). 4S and the color is crayon.

Wow, wow, wow....like "buying radishes at the supermarket"....buying Targa 4S on impulse....too good to be true.
And it's so stylish and cool that it's 4s and the color is crayon.
And with that many options, it's already kind of a luxury car... lol, I like the Targa!

      >The Boxster currently on order is also a Crayon. It seems that many of the models are falling out of the catalog in Japan.

Eek! And you're ordering a Boxster... and it's a crayon!
I have never seen a boxster in crayon before. But crayon is really cool, it's not white, it's not gray, it's a classy, cool color, and my husband loves it.
The upcoming GT3 was a crayon without hesitation.
Why are there so few crayons in Japan...

I can't wait to see the car delivered ^^^!

  3. rumba

    Good evening!

GTS, super fun! I can only drive right hand drive, so my options are limited. (I really wanted a GT3 Touring, but there is no right hand drive available)

    (I envy your husband...)

But now Targa is coming, so it will be donated in less than 2 months (crying).

    964 -> GT4 -> 718 Boxster PDK -> 911GTS (enjoying it immensely!) → 911targa (waiting for delivery♡) → 718 Boxster MT (April production quota) I'm going through this.

I tell myself it's because Porsche resale is also high (laughs).

The story of the Targa stock car was also an instant decision because the color was crayon. And now I'm wondering which one I'll let go of, whether I'll have two crayons in the future ← early (lol).

    • Mina.Mina.

      lumba

      >GTS, super fun!
Wow, I knew it...! How can it not be fun, I envy you... ><
But with less than two months to go, I'll have to ride it to the fullest until the last day.

      >(I really wanted a GT3 Touring, but there is no right hand drive available... I envy your husband...
Oh, that's right... there was only a left-hand drive setting...

      >964 -> GT4 -> 718 Boxster PDK -> 911GTS (enjoying it immensely!) >>911targa (waiting for delivery♡) >>718 Boxster MT (April production quota) I'm going through this
      >I tell myself it's because Porsche's resale is so high.

Brilliant Porsche itinerary...lol. But sure, Porsches have a high resale value, and it's a nice choice to get a fast pass on them before they become cheap after a certain period or mileage!

I love the crayon...I'd love to see a picture of your car when it is delivered (lol).

    Hello!

Finally took delivery of my Targa 4S! It has only traveled a little over 1,000km, but here are a few impressions.

Since I switched from GTS, I still feel the weight. However, I feel that this heaviness is conversely perfect for the Targa's character. (Although it is heavy, it is only a comparison with the same 911, so please step on it.

The Porsche is a first-class sports car. I thought that Porsche's technical staff is great in terms of seasoning the character of each model and setting up the car well.

For stability on the highway, I prefer the Targa 4S to the GTS, although it would be wrong to say that it is the difference between a 2-wheel drive and a 4-wheel drive (laughs).

Even on winding roads, I went for a drive in Aso on the day of delivery and felt no anxiety at all, even though there was still snow in some places.

However, in terms of fun on winding roads, the Boxster is the winner. The Boxster won the first place, followed by the 911 GTS in second place, and the Targa in third place.

Oh, and the most important thing, the targa top! It looks graceful from the surroundings when it is opened and closed, but it makes quite a squeaking sound inside. Maybe it's just my unit (laugh).

Wind roll-in, you see, is not something you should be concerned about. (Laughs) Well, actually, it is not a problem at speeds of about 80 km/h.

My personal conclusion is that the best choice is to have two cars, a Cayman GT4 (MT) and a 911 Targa (PDK)? Or maybe a Voxpa and a Targa. The worries are endless (LOL)

And then there are the crayons! The reaction from foreigners is extraordinary. They usually talk to me because I have the top open even though it's cold. It's a nice color.

I'm not sure if I should go with a custom color or crayon for the Boxster, but I'm waiting for the production quota to be finalized.

      >Targa 4S has finally been delivered! It has only traveled a little over 1,000km, but here are a few impressions.

Oh, you finally took delivery of your Targa! I'm so jealous!
Ah, so you still feel that Targa is heavy. But it's actually heavy, and it's interesting how that heaviness fits the character of the targa so perfectly.

      >It is a first-class sports car, after all. I thought that Porsche's engineering team is great in terms of seasoning the character of each model and setting up the car very well.
It's amazing... the more I drive it, the more I feel like I'm getting to know Porsche's charms more deeply... no, Targa, I want to drive it so bad!
Crayons are really stylish. I get the impression that it is not out of tune (laughs), or that it is an open for a chic and calm adult person to ride.

      >Wind roll-in is not something you should be concerned about. Let's be light, skinny, and pass it off. (Laughs.) Well, actually, it's not a problem at speeds of about 80 km/h.
Well... sure, I shouldn't worry about it! If it's not a problem at about 80km/h, then it's fine!

      >My personal conclusion is that the best choice is to have two cars, a Cayman GT4 (MT) and a 911 Targa (PDK)? Or maybe a Voxpa and a Targa. I have no end of worries (LOL).
Oooh, MT, PDK, circuit driving, convertible, city driving, winding, highway, it feels like it's got it all covered!
But the Boxster is hard to get rid of that...
I have never seen Boxster crayons on the street before, so I am very curious.
We would be glad to know what color you decided to order.

Also, if you would consider listing it in the Owner's File... I'd be very happy to do so (laughs).
Thank you for your continued support!

    Hello!

I had a hard time deciding on the 718 Boxster GTS and finally decided on Crayon. The top is brown and the interior is espresso. By the way, it is MT. The order color

I was torn between Brewster Green and Brewster Green until the very end. So I am planning to order another one in a separate frame (lol).

Then there's the Targa 4S that I just took delivery of, and I recently noticed. It's not enough." I guess my taste is spartan. I still can't get enough of the GT4 or

I would compare it to the GTS. Before I took delivery of the car, I was thinking that since it was a Targa, I could just let it flow gracefully (laughs).

I love it because it's fast and stable, but is it too classy?

So I talked to the sales person in charge about ordering the Targa4GTS, but he said that there is a high possibility that the production quota will not be allocated in time (due to the switch from the 992 model).

It was. I am thinking about what to do.

Oh, and the fuel economy was around 11 kilometers per liter with the GTS, but the Targa is under 10 kilometers. I wonder if this is due to the weight.

Well, I look forward to working with you again!

      >718 Boxster GTS...I had a hard time deciding and finally decided to go with Crayon. The top is brown and the interior is espresso. By the way, it is MT.
Oooh wonderfully stylish! Looks kind of delicious (lol)!
What is it like to drive a 718 Boxster GTS with MT? Very curious!

      >I was torn between this and Brewster Green until the very end. I am planning to order another one in a separate frame (lol).
      Awesome...LOL!

      >I love it because it's fast and stable, but is it too classy?
Targa is a classy car after all! I wonder if it is like a Mercedes SL (or is it totally different? ^^^^).
But Targa doesn't have a test drive, and you won't know how it feels until you drive it.
On the other hand, when it comes to the Targa 4GTS, I am very interested in how it rides and feels.

We look forward to your comments!
